    I have the s-port gps sensor, haven't used it in a while because it took ages to get a sattellite lock. Also speed readings were inconsistent, maybe because of low refresh rate. Wonder how this new 'advanced' one performs.....

    Andrew, with these sorts of videos where a product is being promoted/commented on/reviewed, you must make it absolutely clear whether you are doing what you are doing because the product was either supplied to you discounted or free of charge. These are the basic rules of ‘influencers’ these days. Keep up the good work. Cheers

    • @AndrewNewton

      Thanks for your thoughts Peter. You can assume all products on my channel are supplied free unless I say otherwise. My personal rule is that videos must be watchable, entertaining and informative.

      @@M-H433 Influencer etiquette mate. If it’s a freebie or a heavily discounted product the influencer should declare this every time. Andrew’s videos are genuine and down to earth which we all appreciate and there is no doubt that he may ‘influence’ what we buy or don’t buy. Simple as that.

    Can this sensor be used with other receivers and is it only compatible with F-BUS? what about S-BUS? I have a flysky IA-10b receiver.

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  Год назад

      It is an S-Port sensor (not SBUS). FBUS is SBUS + S-Port. Confusing I know, but S-Port is only FrSKY

  • @MaxPower-zp7wy
    @MaxPower-zp7wy Год назад

    Hi Andrew. I'm having massive confusion getting my FrySky FLVS advanced Lipo Voltage sensor with FBUS cable from receiver connected up to the voltage sensor itself.. The FBUS cable i have has 6 coloured wires. Black, red, yellow, which splits off to a black 3 pin connector, then there are 3 other green, white, blue wires going off to their seperate single black connectors. I figured out from other videos that the black, red, yellow connector goes into the lower set of 3 pins on the lipo sensor with yellow on ground and black minus and red positive. I do not have a clue where the green, white, blue seperate connectors go. Its confusing. I have a FrySky Tarranis X9D Plus with a RX6R receiver in a Volantex SR65 RC Boat. Can you help or please make a video showing how to set up this FBUS green white blue cable. They come off the white FBUS connector and are going to nothing. I notice on the back of my receiver , the green is listed as Aux, white as SBus_Out and blue as SBus_In. I still don't know what these do and whether i need them ?

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  Год назад

      You probably dont have FBUS on your receiver. Yellow would be S-Port, so just plug that 3 pin connector (black red yellow) into the sensor (either set of pins, they are the same) The other three wiress are for other uses and can be just tucked out of the way. AIN2 is Analog IN (for an analog voltage sensor) SBUS OUT is for connecting to a flight control board, SBUS IN is for connecting a backup receiver. This older video shows the connection ruclips.net/video/ztDvA_FFcfE/видео.html

      @@AndrewNewton I have the first gps frsky had via s-port, I found that from when I flicked a switch to tell me the speed it was about 5 seconds delay. example if I flick a switch to read out the speed at the fastest past of the dive then pull up it would give me the speed about 5 secs before. how fast is the updates to the transmitter now?

    • @AndrewNewton

    the main power wire for these frsky recievers is so fine, how can it power all these servos and sensors? guess it must be enough, it's finer than the wire that goes to an individual servo

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  Год назад

      Power wire would come from your ESC or BEC so you can choose how thick it is. You might be thinking about the sensor wire?

    • @embededfabrication4482
      @embededfabrication4482 Год назад

      @@AndrewNewton look at the archer SR10+ reciever, the power in wire you connect to is really fine, I soldered a servo connector to those wires and connected to the BEC 5V but I changed that and just plugged into an unused channel pins. But what if you're using all the channel plugs for servos? then how would you power it?

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  Год назад

      Use a Y lead to share voltage in with one of the servos. But if you're using 10 servos you should be powering them directly from a big BEC rather than through the receiver

    • @embededfabrication4482
      @embededfabrication4482 Год назад

      @@AndrewNewton how do you wire them directly to the BEC? only run the signal wires to the receiver? That's a lot of soldering.
      I only added two more servos for a camera gimble, maybe it wont overload the receiver
