I’ve been using this controller for a week so far , improved at Bo6 with the omni movement. Faster time to aim n shoot , I flipped the back paddles the opposite side and feels much better that way. Definitely worth the purchase
I ordered a dualsense edge a few days ago, I don't have it yet but I'm really looking forward to getting it. But I don't know why people are raving about Hall Effect sticks, they are NOT 100% stick drift proof. Especially if the modules have re-centering springs on them. I have a GameSir controller, a controller with hall effects, it has stick drift. Yes I have downloaded the software and calibrated it and it still has stick drift. No hate, just pointing this out.
Going to be getting a dualsense edge soon, just curious, what do you have the back buttons mapped to? Preferably for a fps stand point as I play cod, destiny and xdefiant mainly

I wish it had hall effect sticks and 4 paddles. I dont mind the battery life (even though its shit compared to my elite series 2) because wired isnt a big deal for me. Honestly if sony asked me: "Hey, you can pick either great battery life but only 2 paddles or 4 paddles but crappy battery life" id pick 4 paddles every time.
@@ProjectFraz so interesting cause I've never had the ability to use 4 paddles but I can understand it's easier for me to only use 2 than someone who uses 4 to literally not have it. I guess they probably are promoting this to more the casual gamer who wants a bit more control.
I’m looking to buy a new controller with 2 back paddles this week. I bought the Xtremerate back paddles a few months after I bought my ps5 years ago and I’m need of a replacement. One option is getting a new controller ($60 currently on sale) and then getting the newest version attachment from xtremerate (I think $50) or thinking about get the edge/other pro controller with back paddles ($150-200$). With Xtreme I had to take the controller apart and connect everything myself (wasn’t very hard) but I did notice I had stick drift early on and have had to continue raising deadzones across Fortnite/COD over the years. Right now my stick drift is getting really bad and that’s the main reason for needing to get another controller. I did have to buy 1 metal piece for the back paddle because it cracked one day that I was using it. Also had to swap the RT spring because it would break or become very loose. So honestly not many issues with xtreme rate but a friend of mine has had the edge pro for 2 years and hasn’t had a single issue. Wondering if I should take the chance and buy it since it seems like it’s the most durable and has replaceable joysticks if you develop stick drift. I can afford to do both but obviously one is gonna be more expensive than the other. Any thoughts?
You're more likely to cause stick drift from opening up the controller to do the work on it. Having dust or things that can fall into the controller when you're modifying it is a real issue and is more than likely what happened to yours. I'd recommend the dual sense edge if you can afford it, best mainstream controller on the market right now for gaming and like the guy said, the durability is quite good however you still need to do things to prevent wear and tear as much as you can like joystick covers, a thin skin around the controller that doesnt affect gameplay and avoid food or debris near the controller to reduce the chances of things getting pushed inside the controller.
Looking to get one soon, odd on battery life my Gen 4 Duelsence only charged it once from Xmas when got Ps5 slim it came with, and that was only on 2 bars the gen 4 battery life is excellent. Are these edge's all same gen or is there different gens aswell we need look out for?
The battery isn’t a big deal because it’s considered a competitive advantage control hence the paddles for fps and other games , that’s why you can adjust trigger deadzones and joystick settings
@ then a edge wouldn’t be the best option , that’s why they even have the locking mechanism for the usb charger so it won’t come out if you’re playing wired 🤷♂️
The input lag on Dualsense controllers is indistinguishable on wireless vs wired. The difference between the two is within less than +-1ms. Sometimes wired has more lag, sometimes wireless has more lag. In fact the funny thing is, due to a buggy implementation, DS4 controllers on PS4 actually have quite a lot more input lag if you use them wired compared to wireless (like +20ms or so). They did fix this on PS5 if you use a DS4 though.
I’m looking to get a new controller for ps5. Honestly, I do like having mods like: rapid fire, auto run, crouch spam, etc. but I also love having back pedals. That being said, what is a good dependable controller that I can get that also has the stick module changeables?

@@85BearsDv it's really dependant on your disposable cash I wouldn't be soldering stuff myself and void my warranty so I'd but the edge personally
Hopefully I get my hands on a 30th anniversary dualsense edge

the battery in the dualsense edge is a lot smaller and therefore underperforms - so its not a generational thing unfortunately.
The battery isn’t a big deal because it’s considered a competitive advantage control hence the paddles for fps and other games , that’s why you can adjust trigger deadzones and joystick settings
Can't you also do that on the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller? The battery is insanely good.
So people use it wired because supposedly no input lag
@@liljdmef I don't play competitively, so I'm wireless at all times. Solid battery life
@ then a edge wouldn’t be the best option , that’s why they even have the locking mechanism for the usb charger so it won’t come out if you’re playing wired 🤷♂️
