OMG!!! You are such a life saver! I was going out of my mind over this. Thought I had cleaned everything! Like so many other people, I didn't even know about the OTHER filter and the little one underneath it. This got rid of the error message and I'm so excited. Thank you!!!!
That's great! I just got a new filter pack. I will have to make a video about changing all the filters too.
Thank you soooooo much! I was losing my mind trying to figure out the error! I had NO clue that other filter even existed in the dock!!
Glad I could help! I missed that filter in my initial cleaning too.
Thanks a lot for your video. Our Shark vacuum is not exactly the same model as yours, but close. Your video helped me understand the filters/areas that needed cleaning. No more errors as of now. Thanks again.
Glad it helped! The owners guide is for all of the AV900S Shark Robot vacs. So they are all kind of similar when it comes to the filters. They say you can wash the big cylinder filter that is in the base but make sure it is completely dry before you put it back in. They also sell some replacement filter kits on Amazon too.
Thank you so much. This error has been driving me insane!!
Your welcome! I am glad it helped.
Omggggg thank you! I didn’t even realize there was a filter in the dock
No problem!! I just cleaned my filter again the other day. It seems like it will get clogged up every few months.
@@ThatHobby I was like WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS DAMN VACUUM!? I should’ve realized there was a hidden filter I gave a cleaning business 😂😂😂
Thank you, so much for your Great instructions on error 26. My vacuum is now working, and with a lot more suction. Awesome video.
That's great! I am glad it helped.

You're welcome!
You did awesome Brother.
Thank you kindly
Thank you it worked!!!!
That's great! I just cleaned my filters again. I think I need to get some new ones. I will make a video update when I get them.
Thank you for the video. The filters on my shark were also very dirty. It is working now!
That's great! I am glad my video helped.
Thanks for the lesson! I found the other filters, and when I'm done cleaning mine, it should be good as new.
Great!
I tried that and did not work, I called support they tried to fixe it too but didn’t work so they gave me a new one, after a few months it stopped emptying itself as well
That's too bad. We have had ours for a couple years now and it is still working great. We just have to clean the filters on it. We set it up to clean everyday too. Sometimes a small rock or piece of debris can get stuck in the back of the vacuum causing it to not empty. Check the little flap in the back of the vacuum. I will try to make a video about it next time it happens.
My English is not to good to text but I will like to know how can I make my shark to do a new map because I move my stuff around n now is bumping in to almost everything. Plz help I hope u understand my writing thanks n God bless
I haven't tried to make a new map. So I am not 100% sure? I think it will take a couple of days for the Robot Vac to create a new map. From what I understand this model doesn't allow you to edit the map. You have to let the vacuum edit it's own map.
Robot vacuums
Yeah this robot vacuum is pretty nice. We have had it for a while now.
Do u know how long the charge last after it’s fully charged it doesn’t say in the manual😏 All I see is it takes six hours to fully charge. I just bought this thing the day after Christmas this year.
It will usually vacuum for a couple of hours. We set ours on a timer to clean everyday at 7AM. It will clean until 9AM and then it will go back to it's base to recharge.
@@ThatHobby mine vacuum for hour and then it went back to re-charge😳 Thanks for responding👌🏾🫵🏽
@@mzTayTay17 I think it takes a while to get familiar with your house too. Let me know if it starts to vacuum for longer than an hour after a week or so.
@@ThatHobby OK I will but I don’t vacuum often because it’s just me in a two bedroom😬 another question do I keep the unit plugged in because after I finished using it I did unplug it n I turned the power off on the vac as well
@@mzTayTay17 If you are not using it everyday it would be fine to unplug it. Some people like to unplug things when they aren't using them. So it's just a mater of preference. But if you want to set it up on a timer I think you need to keep it plugged in.
We take ours out and blow it off with our air compressor.
That's a good idea!
I literally just got my robot and it says that error
There could be some packing material or debris in there? We set ours up to vacuum everyday and it took about 3 months before the that filter got clogged up and set off the error code.
