    We always used to run some PTFE tape around the basin waste, with plumbers mate o the top, no silicone back in the day 🤣

    Yes nice to see you get the blow lamp out Dan .I don't like the knuckle bends on wast but if you had some to use up it's OK lol .hope your keeping busy iam very quiet at the moment scratching along retirement could be coming early at this rate lol

      To be honest I only really use knuckle bends but I can see why you don’t like them haha. Work is really quiet at the minute mate, I’m about 3 days in front. Where as I’m normally 2-3weeks

    Good video earth bonding was present at the start off the installation.why was it not refitted at the end..earth bonding is there for a reason.......

      Cheers Derek. It was done like this on an old regulation. It was just a loop between hot and cold pipework under the sink. However…. Its plastic pipework feeding this bathroom so wouldn’t make a bit of difference anyway haha

      This house has been on my channel before, upgrading most of
      The hot and cold pipework to plastic as she kept having pin holing copper pipe.

      Plumbers mate with a smear of boss white makes it alot easier to use,

    Had them basin mates sit pissed before but they never leak. Only thing is I can never be arsed to get a load so just use mastic instead

      I’ve never had an issue with mastic to be honest mate. However they are a bit of a pain to remove when they’ve been siliconed in.

      That was the chipboard floor mate. No idea why it was green, maybe moisture resistant. But yeh there was no finished flooring there :)

    Nice little job that, you mentioned rubbish, I used to take it from the job, but just ended up storing it in the garage to the point it got in the way, then either got a skip or did two or three tip runs, pain in the arse, plus the fact you should have a waste carrier’s license now if your a business, it’s just not worth the hassle, I don’t mention the waste on my job quotes now, so at the end if the customer asks I just say it’s down to them to get rid of it, still get plenty of repeat work so still🤷‍♂️

      Cheers Paul, and you used to do what my dad does with his rubbish. Which you’re right… is a pain. And with the waste carriers, we got to have one to take scrap to the scrapyard too 😳.

    I swear by them basin maits i've never had a leak yet even when they sit slightly on the piss....Where do you get them plastic washers from ? i normally use pipe clips but would prefer the cleaner look of a flat plastic washer

      I get them out of close coupled kits mate that I’ve not used. Normally with siamp flush valves when I’m doing a straight swap. Your the second what have said they seem to sit pissed at times! Good to know mate.
