My $.02 I have a stock DP and even with the resonated version I found the bass drone from 1600-1900 just too much. Adding a Vibrant ultra-quiet model 1142 resonator in the mid-pipe made it perfect for me. All the major exhaust suppliers, (MBRP, ECS, AWE) advertise 'no drone'. My 67 y/o ears are still good and this is simply not the case for me.
Was this on the track or touring exhaust? Did you replace the AWE resonator with the Vibrant or is it used in conjunction with? Thanks. Just bought a GLI and I think it’s the race non resonated version and it is way too loud for me. I assume o have stock DP’s or it would be crazy loud.
@@MichaelSmith-cm9rl stock DP. Track resonated version. Left the AWE resonator in place. Added the Vibrant 1142 in the mid pipe section of the AWE where it starts at the mid section of the car.
Can you please confirm that the non res track edition with stock downpipe is still different from a stock exhaust with muff/res delete? And if so what difference will yours have over regular muff and res delete? Thank you looking for a new exhaust for my gli 😁

My car is a regular daily, and I want it to not be obnoxiously loud while just cruising, but I want it to make some good noise when I get into it. My main goal is to not be obnoxiously loud while crusing or to my neighbors, but still have a really good exhaust note. My inclination is to go straight for touring, but I'm not sure how that will work with the stock DP, but I know once the APR one is on I'll be happy. What do you recommend?
Question on this? Does the touring work with the stock downpipe? I will eventually upgrade to a CTS downpipe but that is another 500 bucks and before I upgrade DP I want to stage 1 Tune which is about 726. Does the touring fit with stock DP?

im thinking about ordering the touring edition for my 2020 vw gli autobahn edition. if i order the exhaust do i need to order anything else to make it fit? my car is completely stock. also thinking of ordering a a cold air intake.
I can tell you the in general drone is the worst on hatchbacks like the GTI. It’s certainly present on the GLI but really increases with high flow cats.

I havent had warranty problems with the resonated track but if u cut the pipes it lead to some issues.

What’s stopping you from adding a non-res track to a car with an aftermarket down pipe? Other than hearing loss that is.

If you get an i take and/or down pipe you should get a pro tune.

Go with the Resonated Track Edition -- will be very quiet with the stock DP while weighing less than the Touring Edition.

Nope. None of our configurations influence the factory emissions equipment.

If you are staying stock DP's, Track is a great choice if a little in-cabin noise increase is ok with your passengers.

We do not offer a DP, unfortunately. We made one just for this video to demonstrate the tone of the exhaust when paired with a DP.

What type of gas do I need for the non resonated exhaust

@@TotiJK You can run regular pump gas. On Dynos they have been able to get 7-15 hp gains on 91 pump. but you can run 87 and not do any harm.
