After watching dozens of interviews that Holocaust survivors have given I have come to appreciate the value of gratitude. Anything I have in my life I am truly grateful for. Even for the small, insignificant things like having a clean towel to dry myself with or soap to wash my hands with or clean and sanitary water to wash in and drink or dishes to eat off or even the ability to wash dirty dishes because at least it shows I had dishes to eat off in the first place.
