  • As my final project of '23 I finally finished Typhus :D
A lot of you guys seemed to like the vibrant green armor I painted for him in one of my earlier videos, but since then he was sitting there half finished. It was time to put some more vibrant colors on him.
If you want to learn about some new NMM recipes for steel and bronze/gold, painting verdigris and rust, cute but disgusting nurgling flesh and tentacles and lots of tips and tricks I used and learnt while painting this project, then this video is for you :)

That is beautiful. Honestly one of the most gorgeous Deathguard armors I have seen

Is it just me or does that bright green armor with darker colors for everything else almost leave them glowing with 🎁's like a radioactive typhus!

Awesome videos. I really love this style. Next time might I suggest leaving the paints you used on the screen a little longer?
It was a pain in the butt to try and pause at the perfect time when the paints are only shown for like 0.9 seconds.

Thats so amazing. I just started a vibrant green Death Guard myself even if every body was saying "They will look like salamanders!".
I love my first models and this video will improve the next few for sure!
    Thank you! Love it!

The original DG colors are not bad, but somehow, for me, everything that has to do with Grandfather Nurgle should be vibrant and colorful :D He is about life not death after all ( sickly and twisted life but life non the less ) Like the movie Annihilation :)

While I personally don't like the vibrant take, it's just so ridiculously good painted. It's just amazing. Especially the NMM.
At first I like that's just red with highlights and then bam!

The fact that you don't like the vibrant take, but still think the painting looks good, makes this into an even bigger compliment :) Thank you for that 😊

I've done just that (on an amateur level), a very vibrant Typhus in a dimmer DG army

For some reason, he really lends himself for vibrant colors, doesn't he? :D

Damn, this is looking so freaking good 😍😍. Also like to see the use of the artist paints. I have a few of them, but struggle always a bit with thinking down. (Or still a little bit to chunkey of]r just slightly to watery … can’t reach the good point 😠)

    • @ph3lansminiatures
      @ph3lansminiatures  8 месяцев назад +1

Hmm... are you using a wet palette for the artist range? I usually don't pre thin them. I just put some on my wet palette and then start using a corner of the pile :) Only adding extra water from my brush so the consistency is always what I need in that particular moment. I tend to add more water with the brush than usual though, for sure.

@@ph3lansminiatures yes I use it on the palette. (But yes trie to thin the pile) I’ll gonna try your method next time. Thanks for answering, happy holidays
