- I recently done this comparison of two very similar focal length lenses for the micro four thirds system. The Panasonic lens is cheaper, not by a lot but is it worse than the Sigma? I put the lenses on my Panasonic GH5's and compared them side by side for this video.

To me, the difference in focal lengths is significant. Although the backgrounds are slightly different on the two, the Sigma seems to have better bokeh. Also, the Leica gives a more saturated color rendition in the video (I think the Sigma is better) although I can't really see it in the photos on Flicker.
Although the lenses are significantly different, it would be interesting to see a similar comparison of the Sigma 30mm with the Oly and Panny 30mm.

Interesting, did you have the same AF settings on those GH5 cameras? Also was it the mk1 or mk2 Panaleica? It seems to pulse a lot more than the Sigma.
Its the mark 1 version and both GH5's have the same settings

Hello! I have a question regarding the panasonic leica 25mm f.14 lens. I have just bought the version 2 of it and experiencing this weird and strange grinding autofocus noise when the camera tends to hunt for focus. It I set it to AFS or let the camera do the autofocus by itself it does not make this noise. But if I set it to AFF or AFC and when I keep the shutter halfway pressed in order for it to aquire focus and if it hunts it makes a noise like it is grinding 2 pieces of metal. I am curious if someone else has this issue or it is normal behaviour of this lens. Thanks!
