aperture doesn't multiply when converting to full-frame, 1.4 remains 1.4 but the bokeh changes due to sensor size. Aperture only changes when adapting lenses to crop sensors with Speedboosters. :)
bokeh doesn't change. 16mm 1.4 will give you exactly same bokeh on ff and m43. The only difference will be fov. If you crop ff to m43 size you will get exactly the same image.
What changes is the DOF which does correspond to multiplying the aperture x2. Also m4/3 has a 2x crop but no matching depth compression effect as one would with the corresponding 2x focal range on full frame.
This video is AWESOME. I love your humor, the music (Animal Crossing and Gran Turismo, oh my god, happiness and childhood 😍), the video quality, the images, just everything. Thank you so much for this!
You have a good sense of flow, music timing, blackouts, frame switching... keep up the good work... how come we don’t see you, while you are talking in your videos ?
This is the most entertaining review I have ever seen. Editing is absolutely perfect & the shots show just what these can do. Keep up the fantastic work!
Really enjoyed this-- 1/ very helpful 2/ fun to watch 3/ your selected pictures demonstrate good & bad very well. Was about to pull the trigger on the 16mm but now going to keep researching. The Panasonic 15 vs the Olympus 17 that is the question.
Can you please make a video about what settings you use for both photography & videography? Your photos looks sick but I can't get the same look with my G85.
I love your style! Funny that you did the Kanye bit and now he’s actually running for President. Also enjoyed you screaming over the loud music, very funny.
Thanks you from France for this test ! I love thé way u do videos ! It seems different than other youtubers and thanks for all informations. Keep going !
Man, the number of subscribers on this channel is way too low for the quality of the content. You somehow managed to make a _lens review_ super entertaining, something I wouldn't previously have thought possible.
I think the Panasonic 25mm 1.7 is super close in iq to the sigma I had the sigma 16 and 30 some them both. Bit of regret but I just recently ordered the 15mm 1.7 so im gonna see how I like that one Autofocus seems to be really good with the sigma in video.
looking for a new vlogging lens. Right now I'm working with the G85 kit lens. What would be recommended if I was looking for a wider shot and all the bokeh?? haha
The screaming voice over 😂 I just subscribed and am so sad to see you only have 5 videos! Please come back and take over RUclips with your outstanding creativity or let me know where else you’re creating.
Yes sir! And I’m a stingy guy so that’s saying a lot! Haha try something out. I could see you getting away with a couple hundred $ for a subscription to private videos that delve into your process.
falucho that is just sad, and wrong at so many levels, someone willing to learn, yet , does not have the means, in a first world country... is just pathetic and sad....but I believe internet will eventually replace most of these institutions that commoditize knowledge. Or at least decrease the cost to a very affordable level...
Good review, currently looking into investing into some extra lenses for that bokeh effect. Subscribed for the fun content and informational style you presented these lenses.
I found the Olympus 17mm 1.8 better than the Sigma 16mm 1.4. The Sigma was too soft wide open. I expected better. I love the Sigma 56mm 1.4 though. I also had bad results from the Sigma 30mm 1.4. I had good results with the Panasonic 25mm 1.7.
Amazing video! I subscribe immediately! I'm hesitating to buy sigma 16mm and 30mm OR the sigma 18-35mm... I would like to have your opinion! If price and weight wasn't a problem
HAHA Oh my freaking gosh!!! I LOVED your short film I watched it twice lol. And your Hilarious! I cant wait for you to become Peter mckinnon famous, your Extremely talented!
Hi, i bought the lenses because of your vid. I liked the look :) Btw, you mentioned the you used to have the sigma 18-35 ef, don't you have your old canon setup anymore? And have you considered try the 18-35mm with speedbooster for m43 system?
Im in second 45 and i thought. Oops, wrong Video. This is a film Trailer and Not the lens Review.... But wait. Thats shot in this lenses??? Dude, great shots, great color grading! I Love it. And i Love my 56mm 1.4. .... And now i only want to complete the trio
Love the video man🌸. Damn you're so underrated. Sharing your channel with all my g85 friends !! Also did you use any lens adaptor like speedbooster or anything or Sigma 16mm and 30 mm is compatible with g85?
Nice review, very good sense of the video's flow. I noticed one problem tho, you have to put names on top of the lens when you compare them, it's for better understanding. Another thing, but this maybe is more a my opinion, don't take off the lens name during the shots, sometimes I was more focussed looking at the screen rather than the bottom with the name and when I would double-check which lens was, the name was gone. BTW keep up the good work and with practice, try to speak more fluently 😁👍 sub earned
Your amazing. I subbed asap. I love u. Damn it I love u. Keep making this style and you will blow up Peter mckinnen style (did I spell his name right... What are words). I do have one kind of random question and I'm just asking on the off chance that you might know. I was comparing the sigma 30 mm aperture 1.4 to against the f1.4 leica 25mm Lens. I'm not too wise on if such a small difference in focal lengths will change the look of the image so drastically I was wondering if you had a preference between the two for human portrait photography. Currently I have a 25 mm Lumix 1.7 which compares pretty fairly to the 1.4 but I want to have something for low light. I know my question kind of sounds scatterbrained but would you in a position where you know you're going to be working in crouded low light for stuff like weddings or quinceaneras choose the 30 mm or 25 mm with the same aperture of 1.4. You're a God and I love you. Again keep up the great work
aperture doesn't multiply when converting to full-frame, 1.4 remains 1.4 but the bokeh changes due to sensor size. Aperture only changes when adapting lenses to crop sensors with Speedboosters. :)
i guess Im quite randomly asking but do anyone know a good place to watch new tv shows online?
@Antonio Stanley Lately I have been using Flixzone. Just google for it :)
@@antoniostanley8019 google exists? just google it
bokeh doesn't change.
This is more than a review, this is a short film. I have NO CLUE why you’re so underrated.
Damn, never thought I'd find a camera gear channel that I want to binge-watch but here we are.
I love your sense of humour, its refreshing to see in a lens rebiew
HOLY S*%*T this was one of the coolest lens review I’ve seen. Great job man!
This video is AWESOME. I love your humor, the music (Animal Crossing and Gran Turismo, oh my god, happiness and childhood 😍), the video quality, the images, just everything. Thank you so much for this!
This was hilariously edited! so good!
Oh my word. This looks like a movie shot on film. Nice work.
You have a good sense of flow, music timing, blackouts, frame switching... keep up the good work... how come we don’t see you, while you are talking in your videos ?
Hey man we're still waiting for your 17/1.8 review! Keep doing your reviews, I like your style!
This is the most entertaining review I have ever seen. Editing is absolutely perfect & the shots show just what these can do. Keep up the fantastic work!
Whoa! The music is directly from the good ole Gran Turismo 3! Great review, this fact makes it even better...
woah, i wasn't expecting this quality and humor level when searching for a lens review!
Best video I have seen all day! Love it

What a wonderful work you've done. Thank you for sharing this.
Really enjoyed this-- 1/ very helpful 2/ fun to watch 3/ your selected pictures demonstrate good & bad very well. Was about to pull the trigger on the 16mm but now going to keep researching. The Panasonic 15 vs the Olympus 17 that is the question.
I will definitely get the Sigma 16mm f1.4 but also considering the Sigma 56mm f1.4 for MFT system as well.
Very fun; subscribeed! FYI the Sigma lenses do have linear focus options and DFD for their L-mount versions - time to get an S5IIx!
Such an underrated channel
Can you please make a video about what settings you use for both photography & videography? Your photos looks sick but I can't get the same look with my G85.

Autofocus seems to be really good with the sigma in video.

Waiting for that Olympus 17mm 1.8 review!
4:05 I literally got up to this scene at exactly 4:02 am
I found the Olympus 17mm 1.8 better than the Sigma 16mm 1.4. The Sigma was too soft wide open. I expected better. I love the Sigma 56mm 1.4 though. I also had bad results from the Sigma 30mm 1.4. I had good results with the Panasonic 25mm 1.7.

How does the Sigma 30mm compare to the Leica 25mm 1.4?
Love the video man🌸. Damn you're so underrated. Sharing your channel with all my g85 friends !!

Wait. Was that a Grand Turismo 3 reference in an MFT lens review? Subscribed.
I loved your video! Thanks, man. One question. Is still possible to get some depth of field witht the 30mm in a narrow spaces?

I saw tons of Sony user reviews on RUclips. Not a lot of MFT reviews with these Sigma lenses. I wonder why?
