Ben is literally the best character on the show. So far he's the only one capable of feminizing and tame Darlene. He knows to maintain his boundaries with Harris and her teenage moodiness. And he's shown to be a great father-figure for Mark... in addition to being well-liked by Dan.

Darlene is a mother now. I'm not saying she shouldn't have a tighter rein on Harris but it's hard dealing with a another version of herself as a teenager without coming off as a hypocrite
Darlene is an ADULT and not a teenager anymore.. I suppose being a mother, handing responsibilities and being an adult softens you up a bit. I definitely don't act the same way I did when I was a teenager.

I may not agree with Rosanne's political views, but as an actress in this show, she was damn good. This show needs her. She was the mother and she should not have been gotten rid off because people are so sensitive.

This show has turned into every other unoriginal sitcom on TV. With the original Roseanne even though the Connor kids were deceitful and snarky at times, there was a familiar feel to it that never felt fake or went too far, and you still felt like you loved them like your own kids regardless. Harris is a typical disrespectful sitcom TV teen with no personality or likability to her
She is Darlene all over again. Smh! I have never loved a sitcom kid as if they were my own. Because I don't know them.

I would love to see Roseanne come back as a ghost or in someone's dream. Just one last appearance. This family clearly doesn't know how to function without her and I think she needs to connect with them one last time, tell them what they need to do to live healthy, happy lives. RIP Roseanne Conner.

The Connors suck. Also I feel alot of fans longtime and new can notice how the passion and enthusiasm that they had for acting when everyone was younger and the course of the original show is completely non existent. The spark is gone from their eyes and hearts. It's been too long. They're all tired because of life and other endeavours. The delivery of lines are flat, lifeless, emotionless, and mechanical. It's like they've been forced or pressured into something that they don't really want to do. I know that they appreciate the money, but I feel like they mainly did it out of maybe pressure that longtime fans put them under. Longtime fans don't want to be reminded of the fact that the character and actor are older and maybe the effects of aging and life has taken a toll on them. The new time viewers want to see finally what the hype was about, because they've probably heard others speak highly and fondly of the Roseanne show. Longtime viewers They expect the same stic and charm factor and gimmicks as the character long ago. They don't want to be able to differentiate and distinguish the actors and characters. They want the associate the character with the actor as one. With the Connors, I see each of the actors on television. It's like the og actors are all new actors hired to replace original actors who are no longer on a show and trying to imitate the roles but failing miserably at it. I don't see Darlene anymore, I see Sara Gilbert on trying to play a character named Darlene. The beloved characters we use to know are dead. Within the exception of Jackie. The reboot even sucked with Roseanne on it, just a terrible idea to reboot the show. The original show was perfect beginning to end. Unless you're going to revive an old show to show as marathons as they once were, just leave them alone. Let them remain as they once were. I haven't seen a reboot of any show that was great or greater than the og. ..just let it go. Different vibe, atmosphere, environment and memories associated with those years that can never be duplicated...,It's been too long.

Stupid show without Roseanne
To see a female cop out and about and unafraid to be female and a cop and inspired I think is a homage to Jackie when she was one of the first female cops in Landford, who paved the way for and inspired other females in later years
I guess a lot of the negative comments came from the Roseanne supporters. I like this show. Apparently a lot of other people like it too. Since they are on their second season now. If you don't like the show. Don't watch clips from the show, and don't watch the show altogether. Smh!

Personally i can understand why Harris decided to go and live with Odessa, i mean her mom lied to her for month's, cheated on her father and boyfriend and made her keep it a secret, she cost Harris and her brother their chance to move back to Chicago and then having to witness that HORRIBLE fight between Darlene and Jackie. In a situation like that i think anyone would want to get out of their family and Darlene really isn't suited to be lecturing her about being responsible since she really isn't.
All along I knew Harris didn't have a true friend when she came with her younger brother, Mark to live in the suburbs of Lanford, Illinois with their mother and their grandparents. Harris has been doing everything she could to move back to Chicago on her own.
I can relate Harris' issues too. But for
Darlene if Harris really wants to be away from her mother and Darlene wants her to be safe wouldn't it make more sense for her to go and live with her father, David instead. Or at least for Darlene to send her to David's.

It's funny how everyone is complaining about The Conners without Roseanne, as mush as I liked Roseanne on the show the show was all about her. I love seeing the other characters develop. John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf carried the show anyway. When Roseanne came back the show became too forced and political. It's funny how people complain about "liberals" on here, but if you watched the original Roseanne her character was more liberal anyways. Supported gay rights, talked about abortion, had marijuana I loved Roseanne the show and I love The Conners too. Everything doesn't need to be political. Everyone needs to grow up.

I like how the other characters are getting more spotlight too in this spin off, however they need to put D.J. to the forefront every once in a while along with Mary. Bring David into the mix outside of his relationship with Darlene. I know this one will never happen, but also bring Andy and Jerry into the mix. Those dynamics will bring more in. I get that Darlene, Becky and Jackie have stronger storylines. But without balancing out the other characters, those three are going to exhaust their characters and the audience will get tired of seeing the same storylines. Then again maybe these things will come into play later on this season or next season (if there is one).

Shaun not sure what you’re talking about. It’s one of the highest rated comedies on tv with a rabid fan base. They’re not going anywhere anytime soon. Their ratings only slipped slightly for the last episode, but in general they’re fine
@@JJ-gm5mh Just because ABC says they are on TV doesn't mean it's true. It WAS one of their highest rated in the first season. But the ratings ARE indeed falling. They've gone from 10m to 6m in season 1. Season 2 started with 5.7! And they are levitating around 5.5 right now. Those are facts. It's only a matter of time. Maybe season 3 and that's it. I don't see it lasting. But we'll see!
