    Cartess, this video must be before your surgery. . . I remember you testifying to how low the cost is for medical needs in Mérida vs the USA.
    I believe your procedure had something to do with a mass or something was obstructing your airway passage, making it very hard to breathe.
    This is my first video hearing your natural voice--wow!!!
    I thought you were a visitor sharing your experience in Mérida until I recognized your daughter in the video. . You had a gentle, sweet-sounding voice, but listening to your Spanish attempt was so hi-lar-i-ous!!!
    Take care my young brother!

    Great video and information - I remember watching your vids when you were in Colombia. Didn’t know you were from the SIP , I am as well. I’ve been looking at Merida for over a year now as a landing spot for early retirement. It seems to have most everything I need , the 3Cs , cost , comfort, and convenience. Will continue to watch and ask questions as you progress. Keep up to good work.

    Really like your videos!…showing the day-to-day in Merida…Moving there soon…This is off topic…but I was wondering if you carry your passport & other cards on your person when out and about at all times?….I’ve been watching some other videos that say you should have the originals on you at all times?….sounds like a lot of fear mongering to me…due to the immigration crisis at the border…what do you think?…I noticed you had to show your passport to the guard….Thank you!

    • @MoveAbroadandThrive
      @MoveAbroadandThrive  3 года назад +5

      YES ... Carry your originals EVERYWHERE. They are really cracking down. An acquaintance was taken to an immigration detention center a couple of weeks ago because she only had copies on her. She had to have someone retrieve her originals. Bad experience for her. Mexico wants you to have ORIGINALS. NO COPIES if you don't want to find yourself in a situation.

      There’s regular buses from Caucel to The Centro: you can also ride with Uber and Didi, which are even cheaper than taxis. Totally doable without a car, but you have to budget in the transportation!
      Depending which area you live in - Caucel is a decent sized municipality - you can find everything you need within walking distances, from the big grocery store Chedraui to restaurants and little tiendas (corner stores). 🤔🤗 🇲🇽

    You better visit at night; couple of nights including weekends. Side note: I work in a city with a large population of new immigrants. It was surprising how many absolutely loved trump! The more negatively he talked about him, the more I’d see them wearing his hats and tee shirts. The children still believe he is President.

      Yes, it's definitely hot ... but if you give it time you can adapt/adjust to that. Far too many benefits to living here than letting the heat run you away. That's exactly what happens to many folks who make their way down; the heat runs them away. I guess that's a good and bad thing ... Keeps the place from being overrun by foreigners lol ...

    I dont think you should say, "They say you...." without qualifying who "they" is. It puts a negative right out front on your video title about Caucel and thats not fair. They say, who is they, how many are they? Maybe something like I talked to several folks or 5 friends that say, etc, etc. I just felt it was negative from the start. Sorry about that.
