Since that time computers have evolved gigabytes, but bugs can still crash the system with the same primitive strategy. I re-watched the whole "bug" incident moment like 10 times! That was SO funny! I know it wasn't what Anna wanted, but life is filled with moments like these and although they are stressful at the time,...we will eventually laugh about it all later with friends and family, and maybe even with an opponent of a competitive match. When "life's moments" happen, just smile and carry on. Well done.

Anna is such an easy person to root for. Her level of play has really excelled after the well-played excellent positional game in Iceland. What a comeback by you, Anna. I thought the pressure being applied by your opponent was going to lead too a checkmate but you turned it completely around and reversed that pressure to your advantage forcing his resignation!! Great Job, Anna!

The fear of cheating accusations would have caused me to poop my pants instantly in that context, beacuse in life even when you are right, there may be situations in wich it is not possible to prove your honesty above any doubt. You Anna handled it weel.

It's great you're going deep - like the ... Qb6 variation but in the end you're evaluating a future position which is less reliable than evaluating a current otb position. Only pointing this out because time pressure gets to you eventually. Good story - thx!

Anna! I've felt your pain!! I used to work at Starbucks where nearly 98% of my shifts for 4 years were spent in the window of the drive through. Can't number the times flies "ordered" stuff by landing on the order screen, adding something to a drink, a pastry to an order, or on the Send button which completed an incomplete order. Maddening! I wanted to stand there like Tommy Boy with the store vacuum cleaner, sucking up the flies we couldn't stop from coming in. "I'll be with you in a moment; I'm vacuuming flies."
When I read the title, I was sure that a wasp or something similar was flying around the board all the time and stopped you from focussing on the game. Which, by the way, is my worst nightmare. I think I would just resign and leave if that happened. 😂

Nice game! At 15:17 i don't understand the Qg8 mate threat. For example, Qf6 covers h8 and leads to a draw (Qg8+ Kh6 etc). So g8 must be covered to prevent perpetual check or the exchange of queens and not checkmate.

I used to work at Starbucks where nearly 98% of my shifts for 4 years were spent in the window of the drive through. Can't number the times flies "ordered" stuff by landing on the order screen, adding something to a drink, a pastry to an order, or on the Send button which completed an incomplete order. Maddening! I wanted to stand there like Tommy Boy with the store vacuum cleaner, sucking up the flies we couldn't stop from coming in. "I'll be with you in a moment; I'm vacuuming flies."
When I read the title, I was sure that a wasp or something similar was flying around the board all the time and stopped you from focussing on the game. Which, by the way, is my worst nightmare. I think I would just resign and leave if that happened. 😂

Though nothing that could have helped Anna's game was mentioned in those 5 seconds, if Anna was really trying to cheat (which she was not, of course) 5 seconds is enough to be told the best move in a position.

Nice game! At 15:17 i don't understand the Qg8 mate threat. For example, Qf6 covers h8 and leads to a draw (Qg8+ Kh6 etc). So g8 must be covered to prevent perpetual check or the exchange of queens and not checkmate.
