Excellent, in Uruguay we are almost all percussionists, we love all percussion, the slaves from Angola and Mozambique who disembarked in Montevideo, brought candomblé, Uruguay changed 3 for 4, creating candombe, we love congas, bongos, ashiko, djembe, Peruvian cajon, drums, and everything that is percussion, I am white, but we all get together, like brothers who are always playing in the streets, black and white, forming a beautiful mix, luckily there is no racism here, we all live together and play our instruments happily, hugs!!.
Awesome little mini kits by an awesome drummer and mother. The little boy is blessed to such a gifted mother and teacher! When I was little, my mom made my dad get rid of the "noisy" drum kit in the garage. Sadly, the vintage Ludwig kit disappeared one day. Now, appx 58-59 years later, I have a Tama Cocktail Jam kit in my Florida room because of this and your unboxing video! Thank you!
Excellent and so freely creative. Love the ‘wealth’ of footage with your son (Julian) for the adorable factor as well as your influencing and ingraining his mind at such an early age. I’m such a fan of your tutorials and your joyful Spirit is infectious. Peace.
awww thanks so much for the kind words. It's truly an honor to share music and spread good vibes. I am so happy the videos are helpful and I'm thankful my little sons loves being apart of the drumming and music lol
i am a keyboard player ( and a surfer and snowboarder); i stumbled across your videos and i decided to learn drums and percussions because of you! Best regards from France STAy Safe
One of the most amazing women in percussion. I am about to order a lot of Meinl gear. If they don’t cut you a $1m check today, they have failed as a company and failed their customers.
This is the best, thank you so much!! I am bass player rediscovering drums and I feel a lot better about leaving my big kit at home and keeping sharp with your philosophies. These easier to package setups of yours are amazing, your skills are amazing! Thank you , thank you , thank you! Rhythms are everywhere
CAM you are my kind of Chick !! Funky AND groovy. So many great little exercise techniques too. I like how you give it 8 then go to the next one. Fantastic
I love this video! I'm a starting drummer breaking their head over how to fit a drum kit into their apartment (and not get into a fight with the neighbors, lol). This video is all the inspiration I'll need :)
She has a whole bunch of gear and its so nice to see females that really enjoy playing drums. I wish I could afford all of the drums and cymbals that she have and a place to play at problem number one.
Stumbled across this while looking at percussion reviews. What a great drummer! I'm always impressed by musicians who can be genuinely creative with minimal gear. Subscribed!
Your channel is so cool, I'm glad I found it. One of the biggest problems with drums is how big and loud they are. A lot of times its just totally impractical to practice in a small apartment. I think it's cool to see you playing outside in the backyard, frontyard, at the beach, etc. I think I'm gonna get one of these micro kits.
I'm so glad you happened on this channel! Yeah, it has been a journey for sure exploring the variety of what can be done for so many different situations. Go for it! You won't regret it!
@@camiloops.official Heck yea! I just ordered my setup - timbale, snare tap, 8 in splashes, bass box, pedals and stand. I'm excited to start practicing again.
Hello Camilia Akhamie! it's Mattia from Italy, I found your drumming and music very inspiring thank you much for sharing. I am trying to build a set inspired to yours... i had a couple of questions. Does the snare tap fit on a standard drum practice pad stand or it only works with the meinl stand? About the meinl snare, is it 8" model? Thank you very much for your inspiration. Greetings!:)
You're one of those "I'm certain I'm gonna love everything they're doing after watching only one video" drummers. Edit: damn, you're like *good* good! Like "what on earth" good. Rarely seen someone make it seem so smooth and effortless while playing at the "I won at percussion" level.
MAN, i really enjoiyed this, your SO good, i would love to hear you play diffrent styles, like how would you sound playing thrash metal lol, i bet you would kill that, amazing, really love the vibe to these beats, it really gets me going, thank you so so much for Shareing.
That's amazing! I'm glad you are enjoying it. Yeah there are soooo many cool meinl products out there that I am delighted to have gotten my hands on. Super blessed!
Awesome video! I have a sonor 10'' jungle snare and i want to attach it to my hi-hat stand the same way you did with the bracket, to make it all more portable by not needing a snare stand! Its just the snare, though small, is a bit heavier than your Meinl one. Do you think it will be stable? Any suggestions? love
Thank you!!! The Sonor Select Force 10" x 2" Safari Jungle Snare Drum does not appear to have the capability to be attached unless you have a modified one. Look into the Meinl 10” in. Timbale snare or the 8” in. TAMA metal works. Sorry I couldn’t help more. Check out the link to see what you need to attach the snare. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/BST63MBK--tama-metalworks-effect-series-snare-drum-3-inch-by-6-inch?mrkgadid=3248788036&mrkgcl=28&mrkgen=gpla&mrkgbflag=0&mrkgcat=drums&percussion=&acctid=21700000001645388&dskeywordid=92700046937728854&lid=92700046937728854&ds_s_kwgid=58700005283820729&ds_s_inventory_feed_id=97700000007215323&dsproductgroupid=373364762360&product_id=BST63MBK&prodctry=US&prodlang=en&channel=online&storeid=&device=m&network=g&matchtype=&locationid=9011553&creative=203982059422&targetid=aud-297527862370%3Apla-373364762360&campaignid=869509624&gclid=CjwKCAiA57D_BRAZEiwAZcfCxbfn23Pry7p2ST6DX04UjYgcK4g5DsrVJSB_pQccsZve_iw5s6qOARoCZ1cQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
The amount of gear you have is unbelievable! Add to that your sense of style, locales where you setup and DCI/world music hybrid chops and it is all very impressive! Do you have a gear list somewhere? It's hard to put it all together from the videos.
