Cohen seems to have an amazing grasp on this tune
He has an amazing grasp on the piano..!
Sounds like one of the greats from way back, fabulous
@Niko You mean on the piano.
He plays it a ton! There's at least five unique performances of this on his channel, plus when he gigs it's likely a closer/encore tune. It was when I saw him live in April
Crazy how one single tune can have so many different colors. Same notes, chord progressions and same bandleader, yet the feeling in this one very different to the one i felt from Cohen's lasts rendition.
Ya i thought gonna be same but its different feels right
Mary demonstrates the brilliance of SPACE- when to let silence be the music
A perfect demonstration of "Less is more". The drummer really understands this
Probably the greatest jazz singer most people have never heard of, sensational
Mary Stallings brings the rich tone, big swing and soul - beautiful! And talk about depth-of-experience - I knew she’d been a fixture on the jazz scene for many decades, but wow (I looked it up), she’s sung with everybody - including Ben Webster!
This tune is telling me that my life will change this year.
Did it?
Recordings and videos don't capture how wonderful Mary Stallings is. See her live while you still have the chance.
was just trying to figure how to do that. she is unique i can see.
Looks like you guys are about the coolest humans on the planet.
I could watch you guys for days. Difficult times for me; however, my day is much better now...thank you.
Recent introduction to Brother Cohen. Masterful handle of the piano.
Thanks for introducing me to Mary Stallings, I have a new favorite singer!
Crazily Underrated!
Miss Mary Stallings is incredible with a so special feeling, all the guys made it happened. BRAVO Thank you!
Oh my God, what a beautiful voice full of soul!
Jazz entertainment as it has to be ❤
I Love you all ! And , that voice... it makes me fly!
Mary Stalling:grande cantante!!!non la conoscevo!
¡Qué dulce y melodiosa dama!✨️🎵
I discovered this tune and Emmett Cohen after watching the video of Julian Lee, Don Burrows and James Morrison. So magical. Searching on Apple Music and wiki I learned how ubiquitous this song is and so many artists have covered it.
5:54 - a little Erroll Garner there..!
Mary is fantastic
Beautiful and swinging…☮️🎶🔛🌎
Fantastic rendition, much different from the Bartley version, though still a great feel!
oh what a treat!
Very tasty and soulful with a tremendous swing. Worldclass! Bravo!
La Stallings ha ben assimilato le lezioni della regine del jazz
Generational coolness!
Impeccable timing...
I love it!!!!😊
Bravo ! Love all the variations and sensitivity! Yeah, Mary!
Guys........love your amazing energy
Wonderfully sweet. Respect.
Just great!
Nice little Bright Mississippi action in there…
Emmet sounds like Teddy Wilson on this one!
What was that modulation in the last piano chorus? Now i have to go in to my piano!
That modulation was ultra smooth
When you feel lower than dirt because your lady of 27 just picks up and goes away and you hear this and feel immediately better.
Fuck man… Wishing the best for you. Luckily Jazz solves everything lol
24k 💛 Ms. Stallings, dressed to kill, wow.
She’s 83 years old
this song without the sax solo is not the same. But incredible version anyway! amazing musicians
well Patrick Bartly's solo at Emmet's place was way better
it's not about one being better than the other. They're two entirely different versions and takes on the tune
It's not a sport competition, there's no winner... Each artist in his/her own rights, inspiration, style, feeling, emotions, and it exactly is why jazz is so interesting. You better should go to circus to get what you seem to like....
Ehh she's not bad but get Diane Reeves in there. That'll be something
@@nate42384 i think i agree with the other two: it's not about "one being better than the other"
Bellissima!!!
