- This was a rally that went crazy! The third round of the Bowler Defender series took us to Scotland for the Scottish Summer Hill rally. This is a totally new style of racing for me so it meant for a huge learning curve. Before we start I thought it would be worth giving you a full walk around of the Bowler rally car so you can see what a Bowler Defender is and how it differs from the base model, the Land Rover Defender. This is a serious 300 hp rally monster!
By mid day on day two I was ranking 1st in class and 10th overall at the Scottish Summer Hill Rally!! What!? This was my 7th day in a racing car of any form EVER! But...it all went wrong…. You can see the full crash footage from both the internal and external action cameras…. That was a shock!!

Well done Vanessa! I think you did a really commendable job in the Bowler Defender and congratulations on the podium! If you decide to branch out into other four wheel drive activities (between having some loony fun on 2 or 4 wheels of which I envy you) and decided to drive a Taxi (with a cooking engine of course) and I needed to get somewhere if I'm running late I'd give you a call, and I'm a nervous passenger at the best of times. I'm sure I'd arrive safe and maybe a tad queasy in time for my appointment. Many thanks for sharing.

Only the slow ones don't roll now and then. 🙃 I forgot his name, but there was one Finnish rally driver who as a joke put his Saab 96 on its roof at the end of each Rally he drove with it. 😊

I don't think I've ever watched 37 minute long yt video. I wish there was less summarizing of each stage and more riding. The second part of the video is much better (and I'm not talking about the crash).

So I watched the video, sorry about your car going to sleep but. Please. Why the silly music when your are driving, it even stopped just before the accident, why did you not have a big crash sound and explosions. If you go to those sort of things one wants to hear the vehicles, and the fact that you put a camera on yourselves one can see you working hard in the Rallying
Any chance you dumping the music and let us hear what is actually going on with you and the vehicle. Remember it’s the closest any general person will get to doing what you are actually lucky enough to do !!!
