THAT scene in Twisted Hate really made me uncomfortable as well and although I ended up giving the book 3 stars I just can't fathom how could Jules and Josh get back together after that. I could never
@JayJay I don't even know where to begin but basically Josh discovers Jules has been lying to him about something (she tells him herself) and is so mad then they have sex (or something sexual, it's been a while since I read it) he then tells her she's only good for that and looks at her with pure venom in his eyes essentially confirming all of her inner demons' words and her worst fears. And still, they get back together
Immature heroines is a consistent issue I have with Lucy Score’s books. I feel like she wants to represent older women in her books, but then she writes them like they’re teenagers! I had to dnf By a Thread by her too.
totally agree about ruby fever!! i sludged through that book and honestly catalina’s entire series wasn’t bad but i loved reading about nevada so much more
I'm curious because I've yet to see any book reviewer do a video on any of Rina Kent's books. Have you read any of them? And if so, what did you think? Is there anyone else? I honestly have loved every one of them! I am looking forward to her continuing the series she started this fall 😊
My most disappointing were the invisible life of addie la rue and night circus - I just don't like books with next to no plot and the way addies bisexuality was handled pissed me off
I was disappointed in “Dark Matter” by Blake Crouch. I was expecting it to be fun and fascinating but I was so bored I had to skim the end 😬 Also “Stolen Tongues” by Felix Blackwell. I was ready for a super scary book, but it was repetitive and, in my mind, a bit offensive.
it's so interesting to hear your thoughts on my killer vacation, it was a 5 star for me and i totally see your points! it remains a 5 star for me but i get it!
my most disappointing book of 2022 is house of sky and breath by sjm. yes, i said what i said. the plot was incredibly messy, more than half of it made no sense, characters motivations were ... i don't even know if they had any and the ending. i hated it. i adored book 1, one of my favourite books ever but this sequel was a huge disappointment and it makes me so sad
Look i thought it was controversial at some points like the race thing in the beginning of the book , most of the characters were not as nearly developed as Evelyn, the part of why Evelyn choose Monique to write her book didn't convince me , and the author mentioning Evelyn's breasts a 100 times 😂 like okey i got it let's move on ,i didn't feel attached to any of the characters and Evelyn was really a wholly unlikable character + her relationship with Celia grated on my nerves but anyway I'm glad it worked for you.
I loved her old books very much but the new series is not working for me but I'm going to read Amo's book if it didn't work for me i won't read more from her.
Book Lovers was one of my disappointing books too. I was excited by all the 5 stars reviews but I found it so boring and forgettable, I agree the guy is very bland and I also found Nora rather annoying 😅😅 hoping her next book is better
I don't think Ilona Andrews can write a bad book. I actually loved the first two books of the Catalina trilogy, but book three was a let down. And I still don't want to admit it was a let down because it was fine, but I loved the other two books.
Whaaaatttt “you made a fool of death with your beauty” is my favorite this year I’m currently reading “my killer vacation “ 😂😂 it’s good so far but I could just be loving the smut 😅… my most disappointing book this year is “the summer I turned pretty” I read the first book & was like I can not with the rest Enjoyed the video tho
I haven’t watched yet but I’m so sure Book Lovers will be on here. I felt completely opposite about it but if there’s one thing I know about you, it’s your disappointment in Book Lovers 💀
Book Lovers was also really dissapointing me. It was my first Emily Henry read and I was so hyped because of how popular her books are but I just didn't like it.
"I can't remember her name so I am gonna call her Luanne" is how everyone feels about things we never got over I think. lmao
THAT scene in Twisted Hate really made me uncomfortable as well and although I ended up giving the book 3 stars I just can't fathom how could Jules and Josh get back together after that. I could never
I felt the same way! It was awful and I hated that they got back together 🙃
Sorry can you spoil it for me and just tell me what happened? I’m curious but don’t want to put my mental well being at risk either 😅.

@@rayene_23 oh no 😬. I could never I would have trust issues and have that thought constantly in the back of my mind. Thanks for the spoiler
@@JayJay-17 me too! I can't understand how that didn't ruin everything for them

I’m glad I’m not the only that didn’t like Things We Never Got Over. Everyone raves about it but it wasn’t my cup of tea
TWNGO is ridiculously overrated.
You got me into reading romance this year, so I am RESPECTFULLY LOOKING and banishing these off my tbr 😅
I’ve heard nothing but good things about things we never get over so it’s nice to hear something else lol

Here's my disappointing reads
Rhythm of war
The bone orchard
Husband material by alexis hall
For the throne by hannah whiten
Layla by colleen Hoover
Ohhh interesting! Can you elaborate on why rythm of war dissapointed you (if at all possible without spoilers)?
+1000 for Twisted Hate and Book Lovers
it's so interesting to hear your thoughts on my killer vacation, it was a 5 star for me and i totally see your points! it remains a 5 star for me but i get it!
i was deeply disappointed by a very well known goodreads choice awards winner so i feel that tbh

My Most disappointing reads this year were the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo and by virtue i fall by Cora Reilly.
O no, 7 husbands is on my TBR, I just bought it. What did I get myself into?!
I felt everything for The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo book! One of my favorites! I guess not every book is for everyone
Lately I havent been avlento like anything written by Cora
I loved her old books very much but the new series is not working for me but I'm going to read Amo's book if it didn't work for me i won't read more from her.

My fav books was jade legacy and the rebellious life of Rosa parks
I started the addicted series and was pretty disappointed tbh
Most disappointing was probably Wretched by Emily McIntire. It got so much hype and I couldn’t even finish it 😢
i was thiiiiis close to grabbing that one at barnes and noble on friday but i figured i should read it digitally before committing haha
the one that comes to mind is the ex talk because i just finished it. it was one of the most bland books, let alone romances, i've ever read.
Can i steal this video idea? 😅 also, I'm sorry you had disappointments - we all so often hype up books for ourselves and then they just flop.
i didn't invent it, so go ahead!
@@chandlerainsley hehe thank you 🐱

i agree on my killer vacation lol the smut is just so good!
I hated the You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty book so much so I’m happy to see this review
