    Nice job refurbishing the fishing reel. It looks much better and it works like a charm as well. Excellent work.

    I've got 2 of these and pulled one apart to clean it and forgot all about how it went back together. Thanks for making this vid I was lost.

    Hello from South Africa. I recently bought a saltist 50h silver that is in extremely bad condition for super cheap. thanks for making this video i'm going to attempt to restore it myself and then go catch some sharks ;D

    I know how much effort it took to refurb the reel and to make the vid. And it was beautiful to watch, so much work but very rewarding i presume. I would never attempt it, at all. Great vid Gary.

      Glad you enjoyed it Alan. Yeah I did, it was getting a bit rough with all the muck in it.

    Well done mate! I found your video to be oddly satisfying. I own 2 of those reels and it's good to know I can restore them if neccessary. I take very good care of my gear so I hope I never have to restore it. Great video.

    You missed one small washer, on the clicker side of the real on that goes with the bearing, check it's on your left side and you never put it in

    Thanks for making this video Gary, really enjoyed watching and have learned from it.
    I have been offered a Daiwa Multiplier for a very good price, but cosmetically it’s a mess. After watching yourself, I’m really thinking about giving it a go, you’ve inspired me!
    Should I need any spare parts, how easy are they to get hold of?
    Regards to yourself, David.

      Thanks David, I needed a new set of screws for mine i got in touch with daiwa and they sent me a full set out pretty much straight away. They should have all the spare parts for the reel that you need.

    Great video..Do you recommend using the Penn oil and greaser rather than rocket fuel??

    • @fishingintheukgarywood
      @fishingintheukgarywood  4 года назад +1

      I havent tried the rocket fuel. The Penn stuff has been fine for mine.

      @@fishingintheukgarywood great... As you had to paint over the red daiwa saltist logo on the frame I was wondering if there are decals available or are you just using the reel without the logo??
