Unskilled workers you know why they are moving. They save more than what they can in India with benefit of living in a developed country, free good public education so on. Skilled workers move due to good infrastructure and ease of day to day life compared to India. However the benefits for skilled workers is diminishing rapidly and this hits hard when they get kids. Hence like he mentioned in video they are moving back. This will impact Canada because these skilled workers pay heavy tax which enables Canada to provide the free services to unskilled population and pensions. I'm not trying to classify anyone good or bad. Everyone has a potential to grow. Just explaining the Canadian economy. US is going that way too but they will take time to hit the Canadian low because of tech. innovations happening there. Canada has to rapidly start providing heavy incentives to starts ups and innovations and reduce burden on skilled workers else this cycle is doomed.

You've barely scratched the surface of the housing crisis. In Toronto, Indian students can't even afford a room with roommates anymore, they rent time periods in beds. Say there's a room with 9 bunk beds in it, one of the beds is rented from 12 to 8 pm to one student, then from 8 pm to 4 am to another student, then from 4 am to 12 to another, and it's still so expensive. Even minimum-salary jobs are hard to get, for every job open there are 150-200 students applying, and minimum salary jobs will not get you $4000 a months, you'll be lucky to make 1200 after tax. It's a desperate situation.

They were basically tricked by a government ran fraud. Canada doesn't need all the people it brings in. It has a backward non-innovative, non-competitive economy, that has no need to expand it's workforce 2 to 3% a year. What it does need is people to spend thousands on immigration consultants and government fees and people to blow money on outrageous living expenses for a year or two, give up and go back to where they came from. Why else would they bring in all these people. If they were really needed, they wouldn't charge any visa/ immigration fees at all. You have no idea how corrupt the government is here. You pay 50% plus in overall taxes and get maybe the equivalent of half of that back in services, the rest going to pay off the "insider". IF you want to personally see the level of incompetence and corruption, find the RUclips videos of "East Hastings" and tell me how anything but a truly Fuc_up government would let it happen@@canadatriedandtestedoriginal

Life in Canada is very different from the GTA. As someone who has been able to live and travel the country extensively. Some of the points mentioned are relatable.
Ex: there is a breakdown in healthcare but no surprises as this happens to most socialist policies(refer to NHS model in UK). Plus, medical treatment/support varies with each province.
Another ex: retirement homes and staff shortages. Why is new Brunswick called the retirement capital of the country?
Each province brings a blessing and undue hardship. While it's easy to learn from social media. The devil lies in the detail (local law of the land).
At this moment, with rising immigration numbers, Canada still offers opportunities and growth but it might not be specific to your education or experience. Read up on local news and every provincial law before you make your decision. Best wishes on your journey!

      Response
Remember these points share are personal experiences of Individuals going back and not one who is staying. Both have their own reasons
      1. Those who are going back never/seldom faced stability issues even now the job cut’s compared to Canada is significantly less. Yes Canada offers work life balance for sure no doubt but people end up covering their monthly expenses with the salary they get.
      2. EI is not in India for sure. While EI gives you cushion from initial shock this is also driver for underemployment here. This is a deeper discussion altogether. Those who are going back of course don’t see the incentive that big.
      3. Again those who are going back will get health coverage through company or can afford to pay insurance on their own. A full coverage of Rs 10 L has a premium of Rs 10 k which is approx CAD 170. These people can afford to pay.
      4. Every nation has their own set of problems. How it impacts you is what shapes your decision.
      5. Children’s are kept away from weed in India and to some extent parents have control over them.
      6. When it comes on innovation Canada amongst developed nation comes at the bottom. I personally would not blindly rely on statistics available within Canada.
When positing on public domain I do my part of research and as I said this video is a combination of experiences shared first hand and not many speak about in open forums.

I think people don't understand or don't want to look into the depth of issue. Population leaving Canada are different from population who wants to stay. You are right in your research and analysis@@canadatriedandtestedoriginal

Sorry to say but NRI glorifies Canada so much. When you guys visit India it's like you all are special snowflakes. Life is difficult to there now with the internet people are speaking the truth. In some indians who are dreaming of being in Canada will understand and will choose quality of life over show off and NRI status.
