Sting must be loving being apart of a company opposite WWE that isn't killing itself from the inside.
Are you sure it's not? I mean this one bit was was great but I don't see a ton of differences between AEW and WCW at its worse. The EVPs are every bit as self indulgent and self destructive as Hall, Nash, Hogan were in wcw. I want AEW to be better but I'm not seeing it right now
@@markhayes4347 nobody outside of the cruiserweights could put on a wrestling match in WCW. Any given night in AEW, you could get a 5 star match from Kenny Omega, Darby Allin, Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks, CM Punk, Jon Moxley, and soon Brian Danielson.
@@vinsel I think you're massively over-rating Allin at the moment Jericho's 5 star matches are well behind him and Omega and the Bucks are more interested in self indulgent spot-fests. Punks promo is the best thing ever to be on AEW TV so far but what kind of matches can he have after so long out and how will they use him.
@@markhayes4347 Sure about that , pal ?
If I remember Kenny allowed himself to take an L two weeks ago , something that the old man would have a heart attack with the mere thought right now
@@shikikkaneddy yes I'm sure, you remember but you misunderstand he didn't take the L, he was given it in a match for another promotions title.

We need a full version of Cult of Personality by Jim Cornette
I would listen to that in a hurry.
@@dustman820 It would rival Lance Storm's rendition of 'A Man Called Sting'

This is nuts.

I've popped a few times in the past. I've even got out of my seat for a couple returns. It's rare tho.
BUT I can't actually remember EVER getting goosebumps and tearing up in a pro wrestling show. Props to Punk and AEW for providing that first for me.
The stage dive was sheer class, he's a god there forever now before one match happened & a free ice cream lol, very cool
The stage dive, in the midst of a pandemic with the Chicago fans disregarding the mask mandate. Yeah, sheer class. Lol you mark

Tonight my ex girlfriend from high school called me up and told me that she was wrong. And that I was the best man she ever had. And that was still less shocking than hearing cornette praise aew
I does my heart good to hear Corny enjoy wrestling this much!
Back when Jim had hope
In all my years of being a fan of professional wrestling, I have never heard the crowd so loud in my life. Makes me wish I was there.
So you been a a fan past ten years then cause Austin n the rock use get bigger pops on a weekly basis it was good but people over reacting
@@phillbarlow125 That is completely irrelevant for the current situation. Austin is never going to come back and The Rock will never work weekly again, outside of (maybe) some "special attraction" stuff with Reigns for a short time. That era will never come back.
People are not "overreacting", it was absolutely exceptional for current pro wrestling.
@@henrygvidonas9573 he claimed was biggest pop ever heard so yeah is relevant ! And i admitted was good for current wrestling but it still was not best pop ever . And if Austin or rock come back for special they still get a bigger or similar pop to what punk got
“They were singing at the top of there lungs, it was fucking wonderful”
The UFC thing regardless of the outcome took huge balls. Nobody can discredit that. Win or lose it’s definitely a testament to someone’s heart and ball size.
I'll put it like this: Punk's UFC career met expectations. The performances were not surprising, nor were the results. Anybody who expected more or less than what happened is/was blinded by bias in either direction. Shame on UFC for making it into a bigger circus than it already was, though.
Nope, actually shows what brain for making money he has he took Dana white for shlt of cash for 3 UFC matches he know didn't really stand chance it.
Same as he milking Tony khan for much he can get he knows even his hight he drew 4million viewers in reality at this time he go get Aew just over a million views which there at on good week anyway.
I may not like punk but I give him he smart at making cash
@@DGenerationMC Dana White played Punk. Every wrestling fan knew Punk would get starched because he wasn’t even really an athlete in WWE, he’s a story teller. If you gave Ziggler or Shelton Benjamin 2 years with Duke Roufus and put them in there with a 0-1 guy they’d have a good shot. Everyone knew Punk was gonna get laid out so Dana could use it as an example of how much more elite UFC is.
@@user-sj3lz7pd1n Dana played Punk so badly that he flew to Chicago with Lorenzo Fertitta and went to Punk's house to offer him a contract. Very weird stuff.
@@phillbarlow125 I'm sorry but Dana White pimps the hell out of the UFC superstars even his biggest draw McGregor. There is no way Punk milked him out of anything. Punk a smart businessman but no one is getting over on Dana and UFC. They pay their fighters like shit.
It was at this moment Jericho began plotting punks exit
When Ron Simmons won the title from Vader….best pop I’ve ever seen….up until this past Friday lol
