I think that bottle mount is fantastic it’s out of the way and will stay on the bike I have fidlock but still lose the bottle because of its position on my frame
The Torque will be BP and above only, to low for trail centres and below. Don't really understand the Strive, it's a Spectral, a strive should have the shape shifter thing. Having said all that, I have a Spectral ON and I'm throwing my money at the screen and quoting the internet memes, 'take my money' and ordering a Strive.
I love the new Torque:on CF9. I think it would be a lot better if they have the Bosch race motor in it. And the price is pretty good also. But unfortunately, my next bike will be the Crestline which has tons of awesome parts on it.

If the Torque was re-designed to be more like the new Transition 'Relay' where the batt was easily removable plus being able to pedal like an analog bike. I think I'd be picking one up today!
Not sure why?! I had a 2018 Torque analog and the bike was just flipping amazing. Yeah, it's now an XC goat, but who cares?! I never really had a bad time climbing on that bike...now with a motor?...man.

In real life they work great, All motors of all kinds can wear out or fail, every single one. Shimano has the online rep, where if a few have problems it means they all have problems, mine works wonderfully.
Canyon: Please release the Strive:ON for order in the United States. I want to order one now. I'm stuck between buying this bike and another because I don't want to miss riding this summer. Excellent job on moving to Bosch; that is why I didn't order a Canyon in the past. I would also like to see the Bosch on the Torque:ON.
The fact these bikes cost more than a Surron or Talaria is disappointing. I get they are not the same category, but these EU labor and regulatory costs will make their market very limited. If it’s a emtb, an aluminum frame is fine. No need for the CF frame markup.
@@GUY-on-Earth Actually aluminum does not flex well, if anything cracks it will be over used aluminum. This has been seen on well used Alu mt bikes ever since they have been built. A ding in Aluminum is what leads to cracks. They are a throw away at that point, Carbon, it turns out can be easily repaired. Lots of people are repairing them these days.
Their CF range had 1000W battery options. Why do the more downhill capable bikes not have ABS? I don't really see any improvement over what they already offer. I thought we had new components coming on new bike ranges. Guess there's always 2024.
Just received my new bike and did the updates and it bricked the bike, canyon support says 10-15days for a reply. The channel should cover sone of this stuff to help out new buyers.

I had a friend with a shimano pce01 which took my on a journey of installing old software to get it updated. Fixed it in the end. I think if you have bike store close with a PCE02 it'll be a $30 task. Canyon finally got back to be and did offer to give me a refund for the service, so it worked out in the end. Just not fun having a new bike and not being able to play with it for a few days.
The Shimano motor is faultless on mine, they only suck online. Near silent makes great power, great range. Ive gone 70miles easy on my CF8. The bitch fest about the EP8 is just an online thing.

As someone who was considering the Spectral:On (900wh) before this launch. I'm curious why you are now throwing money at the Strive:On, when you've already got a Spectral:On.
You'll be buying a new 8K bike every year, they will keep changing radically over and over. I have no idea what people are bitching about with the shimano EP8 motor, lots of miles on mine and it works great, trail mode or middle power setting does everything at a good clip. No rattles, no noise, just goes.

@@southpawlibranine3511 as I understood the rear wheel still locks up, it's just about the front wheel, and even that one depends on the ABS mode (in trail mode for instance you can still do stoppies below 5km/h) which you can also turn off completely if you really wanted to

I have 2 Canyons, a 16 lb Endurace rd bike, and a Spectral ON CF8, both have been great bikes....I would get another one.
