The funny part she was experienced a little hoarseness in the beginning of this concert by she sung Natural Woman her voice was clear as a bell. Only Nippy can sing through anything and still jump the octave scales no matter the state of her Voice.
Her voice was incredibly athletic and could recover very quickly. All she needed was a sip of water and a little vocal fry and hums and she’d be sweet. That’s why you hear her making occasional sounds when she’s talking. Warming up/recooperating😊

if u compare this version to the one with her brother supporting Luther Vandross in 85, it's incredible how much worse her voice was even in 1994. In 85 it was so pure; much darker and hoarse here.
+Des Headland Whitney certainly had a lot going on at the time. She had the pregnancy i believe a year before The was recording Then had was doing promo and traveling all over touring I think she might have been sick here maybe that would explain the hoarseness
