Lived here from 1963 to 1972. Great years to be there. Walked all those streets and the whole Echo park for years. Exactly as I remember it. Fished there, sailed there, watched 4th of July fireworks there. Walked the bridge over to the island hundreds of times. Echo Park was a place to be in for many decades. It was safe then, except for the rate winos moving along the park. Temple street gang ruled then. Knew some of them. Lived by Krispy Kake Kone Company where my mother worked at for 99¢ an hour and brought home brown tall boxes of ice cream cones. Those were the days. Never to return again.
omigawd! Lived here since '76 and this is one of the most comprehensive views of Echo Park Lake I've ever seen. I think they still had the pedal boats, though, so that must've been an imported sailboat. The lotus seen thriving also (mid '60s?). The bridge was grey then, not red. There's a canoe, which friend Stephen says was rentable. That apartment building is still on Park Ave, Susan says, on the north side of the lake near where another building fell sideways in 2000.
As if that remarkable vocal ability wasn't enough, Jody also had to be drop-dead gorgeous and those legs...WOW!......Lucky for me they didn't have one of those Scopitone players in my hometown. I'd have been mowing every blame yard in the county....just to get the coinage!!! Tee hee....

OMG I just checked and she passed. God shall bless her.
wow nice musical arrangement
Jody's having an awfully good time at 1:42, considering it's a sad song and everything.
Reckon she'll get over him
