Sadly Jody passed away today at 80. She had a great career and while her name may not immediately pop into people's heads everyone remembers her songs.
Yesterday Jody passed away at 80. R.I.P. Jody Miller.
The best version of this song.
So classy and so pretty. Love her voice.
I was stuck on the couch all day (Sunday) with a leg injury, watching TV. Surfing the channels, I saw Hee Haw just as Buck Owens introduced Jody. She sang "Look at Mine." I immediately became a huge fan. And I realized that without the leg injury, I would never have discovered her. She made it all worth it!
These are the ladies that are greatly missed, beautiful lady, beautiful voice and you understand every word, and they did it without their ass hanging out!!!
Barry Linn-Or tattoos, body piercings, or jeans 👖 that are completely ripped up. Makes you wonder if their parents ever taught them to dress.
great singer!
Jody is drop dead gorgeous.
R.I.P. Jody Miller, She put rock and roll into a country flavor.
Rest in peace Jody.
Hope I'm not speaking out of turn here, but Miss Miller has got to be the cure for ED for sure. She just exudes sensuality and sexiness in this vid . Man, what a woman, wow!
Such a beautiful lady with a voice of an Angel
Rest In Peace Jody Miller
🙏🏼🌹😔❤️🎵🕊️
"Hee Haw" was on for so long, it should be considered the Archives of Country Music. Every country singer who ever was, was on the show at least once. Their list of returning performers was larger than the Opry!
It all started in Oklahoma City with the Buck Owens show and Jude and Jody tv shows.
She's singin' "baby, I'm yours.." She could be mine anytime! If I said anything other than that, my comment just might get removed... LOL Seriously, I never paid much attention to her until all these videos started showing up on my home page. What a super talented lady! Today's batch of country singer's could learn a lot about how to sing and how to present themselves watching her. She always has a smile and look like she's genuinely enjoying herself on stage.
RIP to a legend.
R.I.P Jody Miller 1941-2022
RIP Jody Miller your music will Live on for ever!
R.I.P. Jody
I had Jody on my mind today, I haven’t talked to her lately but if you get this message just remember Baby I’m Yours and have been since the day we met. Love you so much.
I’ve always loved this song
I'm sure she's singing in heaven with her beautiful voice!!!!🙏❤️🙏
I don't know how I came here but I'm so glad I did because listening to her voice signing this song,
WOW! she sang this song to a whole New level, simply sublime!!!
I remember playing some of her stuff on country radio in the late 80's but I just didn't pay that much attention. I didn't return to country radio for nearly ten years and by then we were riding the new country wave so she was gone from the playlist. I'm off to find the FB page and give it a "Like."
Listening to Jody Miller's interpretation of the song "Baby I'm Yours", continues to be the best version of a song which was good but taken to a completely different level with a lot of flair,&style once it possessed that unique manner of pausing & given that classy country style.
Barbara Lewis has the best version. This is a soul song.
Beautiful version!!! I love it every time I hear it!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jody has a rare quality, she's Genuine to her craft. You can see it on her face, and her it in her voice! Amazing Singer!
I have said it before and you hit it on the nail, too. She is a craftswoman of song.
Jody is as beautiful on the inside as the out.
I had a pleasure of meeting her.. Thanks Jody. Lois
This is a LIVE vocal performance - it is not the studio track recording that was on the charts when she did this. Compare them - this vocal performance is even better! She's NOT lip synching this TV taping at all. The band is live too. Awesome! Too bad Billy Sherrill couldn't get this performance from her on record. Maybe he wouldn't let her sing it with such raw emotion. This is as good as it gets! Jody's version of this song is the BEST ever live or studio!
ChristianFreedude That's amazing.
Jody was drop dead gorgeous! Oh, yeah... She could sing, too... :)
Such a beautiful voice.....and very easy on the eyes !!!
I found about Jody a few years back on YT. I was listening to Roger Miller - King of the Road. Roger is on my favorite country performers next to Buck Owens just to name a few. Anyways, I scrolled down and notice "Queen of the House" with someone named Jody Miller? I'm "HA" you're kidding me? Another Miller? Boy was I ever wrong, and since then. I've been enjoying her Videos! What a career she's has been enjoying.
I love reading your comments about Jody...she's one of best singers I've ever heard--and I've heard a lot of good ones!
Amen...
I sing myself, so I have studied the best: Karen C, Judith D, Vikki C, and I have to tell you, Jody has joined the ranks of the best in my book. Welcome to the appreciation club, although I know that with your being a guy, there's a little something extra in it for you. ha ha :)
Hey there Jennifer M..just wanted you to know that bestclassiccountrymusic, was hacked…my brand new channel is WhenCountryMusicWasCountryso I will be re posting all my Jody Miller again soon …appreciate you .. Dan
Rip.
Great voice & song! Walk Like A Man is great too. Robert from Australia.
Home Of The Brave isn't too shabby either!!!
Yes, Aussies made "He Walks Like a Man" go Top 10, right? Everything Jody sings is brilliant.
@@anthonyvann2202 Love it!
Preciosa memldia
I'm so glad to have discovered her... amazing voice
+Shelly Jones I agree with you! Jody is vastly under-rated, deeply talented lady. Have you been to her Facebook fan page? She's had an amazing career--still singing!
Jennifer McMullen. I know she can still with out a doubt sing just as great today as she did back then. After all these years I still love this Lady. Go Jody. I still love to hear you sing. God bless you.
Amen, David Frye!
Now that is a mighty good dose of Countrypolitan. Seriously, once again, WCFL, you have shone the light on another vastly underrated talent. Jody is a unique talent, and might I add that in this clip, she sports some of the best 70's pageant hair I have ever seen--really!
What a great performance by Jody!
What an awesome voice!
She has a beautiful voice and a beautiful face.
Damn what a gorgeous voice!
Omg, I am yours😀
RIP Jody
Much better than the original....
The original blows this out of the universe...jus' sayin'♥
I woke up this morning with this song in my head. Thank you for posting it as it brings back so many great memories~
Woman those days are beautiful
What a great voice.
What a great performance.
Love her 70s big hair too so gorgeous and sexy! What a gal!
Beautiful Voice
RIP
amo
Greatness
WoW
I don't know about anyone else.....but I'd kill to have that lamp in the background........
Compares favourably with the Chiffons version. I was so busy watching this pretty lady and listening that I forgot the George Harrison rip off My Sweet Lord!
Was she on Hee Haw? And i f so, when was this episode filmed?
This clip was from a 1972 Hee Haw program.
Does she look a little like Shania Twain?
I thought so. The fireplace s etting looks like something you'd see on the show. I onc e thought Jody was the sist- er of Roger Miller, but I gues s they're not related @ all.
Ha ha! Tell us how you really feel! :D
