I've seen Morrissey 3 times: first one in London closing his tour Who put the M in Manchester? and the other two in Buenos Aires. There's like a tradition among fans who always try to hug him and, let's not forget, that ripping his shirt off to throw it away to the public is part of his magic! Nothing better than his manly chest and his awesome attitude. Next time I'll try to get on the stage!

Nothing beats seeing Moz live. Best experience for me was getting the national express up to Hawick in Scotland and seeing him perform in a town hall. The energy and devotion was euphoric.

I've noticed in many of your videos you've been able to accurately guess pitch and key signatures of many songs. Is this a skill that comes in handy for you? Just remember that the other half of the Smiths was the great Johnny Marr. I saw him with The The, opening for Depeche Mode. He played harmonica, but with his whole body. I have never seen anyone attack a harmonica like that. Marr is an incredible musician, and he can probably play any instrument you hand him.
There was was wider range of musical styles in the charts in the 80s than there is now. Everything from All About Eve to Clannad to Public Enemy, Gary Numan and Whitesnake. Even Joe Dolce! Now it's all pap, rap and crap.

I know he's unpopular as an individual and persona currently, but I agree with you - his music, lyrics, and vocal performance are like none other and should be celebrated. My dad loved The Smiths and Morrissey's solo work, and Morrissey's voice was a huge part of the soundtrack of my life. My parents took me to see Morrissey as my first concert, probably back in 1999, and it truly was a religious experience, as some describe. I remember he even forgot the lyrics to a song, and the crowd sang for him!! It was just a beautiful, exciting, emotional experience. Since then, I've seen him numerous times, and taken my oldest two to see him as their first concerts as well! To see my children sing his songs and be part of that audience experience like I was, was just euphoric to me. And Morrissey never disappoints!! You've covered other, older artists losing their range, but Morrissey still sounds spot on, I'm terms of pitch. The band is incredible, and his setlists take you through every emotion. My favorite album I think is Vauxhall And I, although you can't deny the early Bona Drag is phenomenal. Unlike other artists who may lose some creativity or imagination, Morrissey doesn't! I love World Peace Is None Of Your Business - it sounds like it should be the soundtrack for a film or musical. And his covers are impressive and exposed me to many artists I want to hear more of, thanks to him. Viva Moz!

Saw Morrisey back in the early 90s with tickets that had been found on the street, just laying there lost. I felt bad for whoever had lost them. The show was good until it abruptly ended by the people barging the stage to the degree that no one could perform.
It's a shame the British fans seem to have fallen out of love with him, because his most recent album, 'I Am Not a Dog On a Chain' is utterly fantastic.
Agree, it is AMAZING lyrically, of course and I love that he has been really experimenting with and killing it in different musical directions. I love every song on IANADOAC. Really looking forward to BOT and the other one he's got, what a truly gifted artist. I've seen him live only twice and they were by far the best among many concerts I've seen; very personal and he doesn't need any effects. I love him for his independent thinking. Not a dog on a chain or anyone's yes man!
When I saw Moz 20 years ago, it was in Idaho. There was a huge amount of Latino fans, and many brought feather boas and bouquets of roses to the stage, which he took and pranced all over with, dancing with he flowers to the point of their petals flying off!

It's a shame the British fans seem to have fallen out of love with him, because his most recent album, 'I Am Not a Dog On a Chain' is utterly fantastic.

Agree, it is AMAZING lyrically, of course and I love that he has been really experimenting with and killing it in different musical directions. I love every song on IANADOAC. Really looking forward to BOT and the other one he's got, what a truly gifted artist. I've seen him live only twice and they were by far the best among many concerts I've seen; very personal and he doesn't need any effects. I love him for his independent thinking. Not a dog on a chain or anyone's yes man!

When I saw Moz 20 years ago, it was in Idaho. There was a huge amount of Latino fans, and many brought feather boas and bouquets of roses to the stage, which he took and pranced all over with, dancing with he flowers to the point of their petals flying off!
