I just had to say that I love this comment! It reminds me of a song by Canadian rockers, Triumph, called "Magic Power." Not to take anything away from the music of The Darkness....In fact, I'm fairly certain that Justin would approve of this endorsement.

I know Justin most likely won't read this, and anyone that does probably won't care, but I'm too excited to keep this to myself:
I saw The Darkness last night at Adelaide, and while I'm glad Justin was able get his life back on track, him and the band stayed just the right amount of crazy to make it possibly the most fun concert of my entire life! Most bands aren't able to rock as hard as they did when they were younger; The Darkness were a total blast! Not to brag, but I managed to catch one of Justin's picks, and I even got to help Justin when he was crowdsurfing!
10/10 concert, will definitely try to go again if given the chance.
(Also, I'm aware of all the exclamation marks, but again, excitement.)

Very true. As a guitar player from a very young age, I've realized most people don't understand the power of a cranked 100w tube amp with the full 2 4x12 setup. Beyond that, having 2 or 3 on stage behind you screaming. Rock music is about the feel, and the feel that gives you is incomparable. This modern DI modeling setup will never get that feel, where you are fighting this monster behind you that's literally making you go deaf. It's dangerous, thrilling, incomparable. If that goes away, we will truly lose something intangible that makes rock what it is. In-ears, phone speakers, your car, it isn't the same as hanging over the rail in front of the stage and behind hit with that. You are experiencing it with the players, a shared energy.

Hey Justin, I’ve been a fan of your music since 2005 and I’m very happy I’ve just discovered your RUclips channel. I’ve also struggled with alcohol and I want to congratulate you on your sobriety. Thanks for doing what you do! 🖤

Peter Gabriel agrees with your album idea. He named his first 59 albums Peter Gabriel. And at the same time, unrelated, Phil Collins stuck his face in a tight close up on everyone of his (popular) albums. And ironically, Genesis never put themselves on their covers.

Have you ever thought of doing a couple of albums of cover versions featuring some of your favourite songs from the past 50 years? As someone who often looks for stocking fillers at this time of year, a Darkness covers or even a Darkness Christmas album would be most welcome, especially if released on vinyl. Perhaps you could ask your youtube subscribers to vote on a shortlist for songs to make the cut.

If we ever get to a point where any kind event with large amounts of people in one place is done virtually, without you even leaving your house, that is when we can say for sure that the conspiracies are true, and we are so under control that we are isolating ourselves to avoid any possible sedition that mass gatherings might inspire.

Can you please do a video on Frightened Rabbit? Scott Hutchison was a songwriter of his generation. Midnight organ fight is the best break up album of the last 20 years.

Hey Justin.. I'm back in college after a 30 year break. I'm taking a rock history class and we have to post videos that influenced the genre of rock music to move forward. We're posting on the 70s now, but "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" will be my 2000s post. I already have my write up on The Darkness ready to post! I've learned so much about rock music from your channel that I consider you my professor's secret teaching assistant. Cheers and thanks for helping me get top grades!

You cant simulate it completely. There is a transfer of energy that takes place at a real gig that cant be replicated in a simulation. Energy goes where the attention goes & i've felt the rush of being on stage myself & it's quite a powerful thing both for the audience but for the band as well. For the band it's an addictive substance.

I love what he said about the concert experience and how you can never replace that. The whole thing from the sites to the smells to the feeling of the amplifier hitting you in the chest. And he said going around back to meet the band. It's funny because recently I actually paid for one of those VIP package things where you get to meet the band. And it was cool and everything, but I remember as a teenager, me and a couple of my friends sneaking into the back of venues trying to meet the band, this was attempted a few times and we were successful and maybe 10% of the time. If we were chicks we would have been more successful, but the times we were successful, we had such a great time and it gave you more of a story to tell later on. It was significantly more fun than paying for it, and being let in with no problem. Just something about being dumb kids who are up to no good. That was definitely a big part of the concert going experience. It's just not the same today, but it's something you just have to experience. Nothing can replace that.

This really is a great channel. I love that RUclips allows people like myself to watch people like yourself ourside of their “day job” so to speak. Especially considering while I liked the songs I never really listened to The Darkness much.
Though I was the guy who would do I believe in a thing called love in karaoke because I was the only one who could hit the high notes.

I remember seeing The Darkness live in Folkestone on 8 February 2004, I still have the photos I took that night, outside the Leas Cliff Hall, of my friend with you, Dan, and Vic Reeves who was there with his auctioneer buddy Michael Hogben. It's great to see you looking so well, with the "mess" in the past.

The reason why I love this channel is due to Justin’s wide ranging taste in music and mainly due to how normal a bloke he is . I really don’t care much for the darkness stuff either but it’s fun I get that )I also know that Justin is a brilliant guitar player and highly rated by those in the know from what I’ve seen
