- Hi everyone! I'm so excited to finally be back in the Grand Theft Auto universe, this time with GRAND THEFT AUTO 4!!! It's been a blast so far and I will never get over the insane detail and opportunities given to me already. I can tell this is going to be a very in-depth story. Roman calling to play pool after you almost rage quit pool is the most Roman thing ever
Genuinely can't wait for you to get deeper into this game, it just starts off great and somehow gets BETTER. The story DLC is probably the best material Rockstar has ever released before they dropped Red Dead Redemption 2
Gta 4 along with Red Dead Redemptions for me are the best Rockstar games. In addition, their protagonists have some similarities (Niko and John Marston) because of how they care about their family and that they would do everything to protect them.
They also aren't ones to waste words. John is seen as a simpleton of sorts though. He is definitely more diplomatic then he gets credit for.@lucascs9963

Pretty random, but your commentary during the gameplay is my favorite out of anyone who's played the GTA games. Usually i only watch people's reaction during the story, but your editing and commentary during gameplay is genuinely funny and i just wanted to give you your flowers on that. You explore the world, make funny jokes, and genuinely dive deep into these games and it makes watching the videos all the way through entertaining.

The physics/ragdoll in this game is incredible.

In pool, the dotted line you were seeing is where the cue ball will go. Say you wanted to hit a ball in the corner right pocket. Aim a little to the left of the ball you're going to hit.
When you aim to the right if it's going right it'll go left instead. Also don't hit it hard every time. That actually matters. If you're close, don't hit it full force.
The cars in this handle way more realistically than they do in GTA V. I prefer it this way, but it can understand if they feel overwhelming if you're used to cars being weightless in GTA V.

The physics are more realistic but the driving isn’t more realistic. Cars should hug the ground more like in GTA V while it’s very bouncy in IV.

There's a trick you can do to not do activities with your friends without losing relationship points. When they call to hang out, accept it. Then, immediately call them back and cancel plans. You don't get a thumbs down, and they don't get to annoy you. This does not work with girlfriends.

I love that you’re interested in building relationships with the other characters. Also, I remember having a blast customizing Niko’s look throughout the game.
GTA 4's story is much more grounded and darker than GTA 5. You'd feel depressed by the end of the game so i suggest you standby a box of tissue especially for the third and final act of the game

Yes, once you go further in the game, there will be certain shops to explore
Its always good to see someone play this game. Its really my favorite game of all time. I hope you take your time with it and explore everything the city has. From all the funny lines from hotdog venders or the fast food places. And to hang out with friends as much as possible. You can learn a lot about them from the conversations. Its also good to call Roman after you do missions so you can hear his view on what Niko is doing. You should also make sure your frame rate is at 30 or lower for the final mission or it will be impossible to pass it.
Kaylee GTA 4 is one of my childhood games I love this game and Niko is the best protagonist
Your driving is reaaaaal good for a first timer! You did a great job, I'm glad that you enjoy this masterpiece and immerse yourself in the game as much as possible.
I have a tip for you in pool, the game already sets the angle of striking the best possible ball for you, you just need to set the power correctly to pocket the ball.
GTA always had 6 stars since GTA3, but it's been so long since GTAV came out, that it feels like 5 was always the standard. Kinda insane
I prefer the driving mechanics in this game. Once you get the hang of it it's really good and awarding
Other GTA games make driving easier as you gain some kind of skill points. In GTA4 driving becomes easier as you gain actual skill.

When a contact calls you to go out and you do not want to do so, you can accept the invitation and after finishing the call, go to the contacts menu on your cell phone, return the call and an option to cancel the appointment will appear. Doing this will not affect your friendship. .

i am so so sorry, but during pool you dont even need to adjust anything cuz it auto aims for you, you only need to shoot it, and every time it lined up a perfect shot FOR YOU AUTOMATICALLY you moved away from ittt. i was like AHHH CMONNN
GTA 4 had those small details like doing activities with other npcs and improving relationships which I enjoyed a lot. You can take your time with the missions and just have fun. This is something I really hope they add in GTA 6
If you really loved red dead 2 then you’re gonna love GTA four cause it’s story is way more in-depth than GTA five. I hope you have a good time playing through it.❤💕

So the thing in the Darts:
Triple 20 is the highest value you can hit so at the start you should go for that instead of the Bull's Eye.
Your final dart must be either a Double or the Bull's Eye.
The goal or Darts isn't to get as many points as you can it's to get to the exact total points you have left, meaning that if you have 10 points left, the only way to win is to hit Double 5. If you hit anything that will take you over the amount of points you have left or one point behind (since there is no number you can double to get 1) you will Bust. You will also Bust if you reach the correct total on anything other than a Double or the Bull's Eye.
Indeed.
So when your point total goes approaches 40 or less, try going for a point total that can be divided multiple times by 2. That way you can miss the double (hit the single) and immediately have another go at a game-winning throw.
E.g. 32, aim for double 16. If you hit single 16, you have 16 pts left and aim for double 8. If you miss again, then you have 8 left and you aim for double 4.

I'm kinda stoked, that in IV there's so little apparel shops. In the last GTA i played, San Andreas, from a get go, there ware several different clothes shops available, with casuals, sports wear, suits. After doing few useful, nicely rewarded sidemissions, like firefighter, or ambulance driver, player had enough money to put some really nice clothes on CJ. On the other hand, there was no darts and bowling.

I think the game sets you up right where you need to be for your shot in pool... if you just don't move too much, you'd pretty much sink everything

The breaks are not bad, GTA IV's physics are more realistic. I play a lot of GTA online too, but the cars are more arcade-ish. They control TOO good that's it's insanely unrealistic, like it's magic, as well as being able to flip the car over on your own. People don't realize just HOW much control over the car's tiny detailed movements in GTA games, even more so in in V. IV has it too, but it's physics and speeding are realistic. The cars have real weight and momentum. You can't break at 110 mph and stop on a dime in IV. The momentum carries you a bit further like it does in real life if you did the same thing. That's how you have to treat the cars in IV, like they're real and not an RC car.
Love the GTA franchise, this game made an impact on my thoughts on how far video game physics can go, they definitely are just testing the water for further Generations

A tip that might help throughout your playthrough when driving it isn't so bad if you use rb or r1 to drift making more efficient turns especially at higher speeds. You'll have to get used from tapping it for slught drifts to holding for longer drifts *this tip is harder but still effective on motorcycles*

FYI your understanding that moving the cue to the left will move the ball right is slightly misunderstood. Moving the cue to the left, will move the WHITE ball to the right, hitting the target ball on the right and thus moving that target ball to the left.
A mechanic I think you missed is the blind fire when in cover, just tap RT when in cover instead of LT.
3:02 I’d pull the exact same face if some guy I’ve met only twice tries to get me to do stuff for him.
I believe you can disable the auto lock-on when shooting which might feel a bit better for you. A bit closer to the GTA 5 style

My family got me a new laptop 3 weeks ago and i had gta 4 in my old laptop but i wasnt able to play it because it couldnt handle it but my new laptop did and i played gta 4 much as possible for 3 days and i literally finished it in 3 days and i also got a achievment for it

I suggest that whenever you find these missions with blue icons, you do them. There are certain missions that make you better understand Niko's personality

In darts, you need to end on a double (outer rim) .. so when you had 3 left your first game, you should have hit a single 1, then the outer rim on the 1.
