Thanks very much , we’ll miss Spain this winter but never mind where one door close another opens as my Nan used to say. Thanks for watching best wishes H and M
You’ll love Scandinavia. I look forward to your travel vlogs. We had six weeks touring Western Norway and loved it. The scenery is so magnificent it’s almost overwhelming. The ferry trip along the Gerainger fjord was memorable. It takes a long time to travel any distance and in Fjord-land involves lots of ferries. We crossed over to Kristiansand from Hirtshalls in Denmark.
We're subscribed and enjoy your channel. I've picked up some good tips for winter in Spain, and now the tragedy there. So sad. Maybe as a community motorhomers need to support Spain for giving so much to us. Still hoping to get some winter sun in Jan and Feb. We really enjoyed the music and photos in this video Martin. Well done. Nice job. 👏
Good morning , Spain is an amazing place right through and we’re sad not to be returning this winter , but we’ll be back. There are a few options for donating, we were hoping for a Valencian Gov Appeal which might yet come, otherwise we’ll donate to a smaller charity. Happy travels and thanks for watching Helen and Martin
@@angdrumm thanks , the little monkey is squirrel daft at the moment . We have some (squirrels) in the trees and she wants to patrol the garden 24/7 . Have a great weekend H and M
You’ll love Scandinavia, I was there this year in May and June for nearly three months. I went france, Belgian Netherlands Germany Denmark, bridge from Copenhagen to Malmo, up Sweden into Finland to the top of Norway then all the way down Norway and got the ferry from Kristianna r to Denmark etc. loads of sites in both Sweden and Norway, easy driving on very well maintained roads, but there are struck speed limits. April will still be lots of snow and frozen lakes. Take snow chains. Have fun.
Thanks Richard , that all sounds Marvellous . We've carried snow chains for years and never used them in anger , there's always a first. Thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin
@ depending on the weather, some passes in Norway require you to pull over and fit your snow chains before attempting the mountain pass. Worth visiting, Bergen, Stavanger has an interesting oil museum, the mountain passes into Flamm give spectacular views, Hardanger fjord is less harsh than other fjord because its lined with fruit trees and is a welcome change. Should be lovely blossom in the spring. Great cider too. borgund church is worth a visit and enables you to go through the longest road tunnel 25+ km, Stegastein lookout gives stunning views. Further north the Lefoten islands are a can’t miss and so much more.
You’re going to love Norway! Don’t try going to the top in just 4/5 weeks, there’s too much to see much lower down ! My top tips are to order your toll tag early ( ours took several weeks to come as it was sat in U.K. customs!) Take plenty of Yorkshire tea - they only sell that yucky Lipton tea 😂. Park 4night is the best app for stops in Norway , marinas are so good to stay at as they have cheap washing machines. Norwegians all speak English and are so friendly ! Although dogs can’t go in most cafes shops ext , they will happily provide a bowl of water and make a fuss of your dog. Have fun !

Hola Helen & Martin, Bambino regarde es mui importante!!! With 9 grandchildren of our own, we expect before too much longer the GGC will be on the scene! We also know that once they reach a certain age they drift away to do their own things in life and the contact becomes sporadic, so we feel in your case, every cloud....... Lovely photography as always and like you we adore Cromer, we think we have a good idea where you may be heading for Christmas (lucky you) but Scandinavia sounds like something to really look forward to, especially as the weather starts to change there!. Enjoy the grandkids and good luck with the future tours. Best wishes, Helen & Dave

We are looking forward to Norway especially but happy to spend the winter in the Uk as it turns out. Thanks very much for watching best wises H and M
We went to Norway for 6 weeks, just over 6 years ago. We went on the ferry from Hirstalls in Denmark to Kristiansand in Norway. That enabled us to have a couple of nights at our favourite place in Denmark, Skagen. It is where the North Sea meets the Baltic. Fascinating. We went to a lot of places, but really enjoyed it. We stopped in Bergen. Lots to do. Good motorhome stopover at the stadium. Tram stop outside to go into centre. Loved Flam. Went on the Flamsbahn. Great, but we enjoyed even more cycling up the original unpaved road used to build the railway. It goes all the way to Myrdal. Our other favourite place was the Lofoten Islands. Lots to see. We were there on 21st June. Have lots of detail, if interested, and we visited a lot of other places. Message me if you want more info. Ian & Frances
That’s great Ian thank you very much , it’s really good of you to take the time to give us such a detailed response . We copied it into our notes . Best wishes and thanks for watching Helen and Martin
I enjoy watching all your videos and will continue to through England for the Holidays all the way to Scandinavia. (I am making my first trip to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland in May while you will be traveling to the Nordic countries) Can't wait to view them - safe travels!
I think you'll both enjoy the Spring trip all the more after the postponement. We've just had our van serviced, hab. checked and MOTd (can't believe it's 3 years old!). The garage we use is only 5 mins away from a certain favourite campsite C******ge. Ring any bells - hope I haven't blown the surprise?
You've got it , we do like it there and we are looking forward to a UK Christmas now. Glad you van passed it's MOT , time flies doesn't it. Best wishes and happy travels H and M
Thanks for the update. We were en route through France into Spain heading to the Valencia region. We got as far as Pamplona and made the decision to head back. We are currently mid France heading north. We too are now looking for a place for Christmas in the UK. Think we will head to Northumberland, it’s our favourite place and being from Yorkshire, but too far for us. Plans are meant to be changed lol
Hi Helen and Martin, we visited Norway earlier this year and the Loen Skylift up to the top of the mountain was a fantastic experience. Definitely recommend. Amazing views and there is a cafe and outdoor seating up there plus several small walks along the range. All the best, John & Louise

We just don’t know how it’s going to pan out yet, so all options are on the table. What a disaster it’s been for everyone there. Unthinkable, unbelievable and utterly gut wrenching. There’s part of us saying get down there and help the economy but a bigger part saying keep out and don’t get in the way. 😨. We will make a final call in a couple of weeks Really looking forward to watching your Scandinavian road trip - something we will hopefully do too at some stage - but time flies doesn’t it!!
