The first dish that i had is ertebe and the location was in Mexico Addis ababa near to Wabi Shebele hotel, it cost only 35birr or which is $0.64

Can you imagine; end of the 80s you could buy 1 whole sheep (alive) for about 30 - 40 birr. And that was considered very expensive. In my mom's time, back in the 50s and 60s, 1 sheep cost 5 birr. If you were lucky, you could sell the skin for 6 birr, hence getting the meat for free 🙂. Who would believe now that such time existed
