But then there's me, using languages that don't require semicolons (and no, not Python).

Neat combo of branding and retro game! I've also been working on a mario bros style game so it's interesting to see the changes you did like instant enemy killing and blocks that cannot flip.

Really great recovery video. I think a high number of people would have walked away when there first idea failed like that but you stuck it out.
Only complaint I could have had after playing it is that it felt far to easy for a arcade inspired game but naturally its purpose and goal more or less forbid you from making it old school Nintendo hard.
The 8 people who disliked this are probably Monster employees.

You made mario bros instead of Donkey Kong lol, but I like it. It's different enough that people not expecting it to be different will be in for a surprise.
The problem with your donkey kong version was: the horizontal layout ... Since you advance vertically jumping, you reach the end too early to be fun...
(the original game is in vertical layout for that reason i think) ... I would have changed it like this:
Option 1: Instead of static platforms, it would be like a endless runner where the platforms come from the top endlessly as you go up... (Like doodle jump, increasing the difficulty as you progress)
Option 2: Horizontal layout where the obstacles and enemies come from the right (not from the top) also endlessly.

As a Game Developer, that missing Semi-Colon is my worst nightmare, even if there's 1, it messes up the whole game. Can never find it

@[root] is maybe one of the worst designed websites I've seen, that's made professionally. Great product, terrible website.
So let me get this straight. You think that rather than having what would at most be a 30-second segment for a sponsorship in a video that would otherwise be completely unconstrained by such a thing, it's preferable to base the entire video around the sponsorship and making an entire video game for the sponsorship. I hope you got paid better than you otherwise would've for a more conventional sponsorship, because root sure as Hell got their money's worth, while you had to way more work than you otherwise would've had to, and the end result for the viewer is a 13-minute ad about making an ad in the form of a video game.
What's your deal? This video was great!
@@saltyralts That's a matter of taste that I won't dispute, but my point that this form of monetization is much more intrusive than a conventional sponsorship segue still stands. Instead of an uncompromised 12-minute video with a 1-minute ad, it's a 13-minute ad.
