- Enough faffing about with petty details, lets give it to someone who knows what he is doing! Haltech's Wires By Dave!
Will it make some noise this episode?
Warning- It's a BIG episode!
Whoah! An hours worth of Mark with good old Dave as guest! Great stuff on the Sunny,Mark!
A ride height sensor would be cool directly linked airshocks / bags on the rear suspension to keep a constant height and ground clearance!!
Jup, the roof was lifted... Its quite funny for us tall people. At least the headroom helps.
But lower slung seats also helps.
Oh from I'm from South Africa btw.
Love the build! And has given me some inspiration to finish my b110....

Dave : "in terms of engine, there's not a lot going on" 😅
I had a '62 Austin Healy Sprite with the A-Series 1098, dual throat Side Draft Weber, with no problems getting the back end to step out with a bit of aggressive cornering and a clutch dump
Dave is skilled, Dave has good ideas, Dave is a nice guy and good for a chat (given more than half of this video was chatting with Dave). However, Dave does need to consider the concept of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should", particularly when it comes to wheel sizes.
Loving this. I'm also "in the middle" of converting my Datsun into EFI.
Wibbly wobbly timey wimey
I got a good laugh out of the 6" rule bit! I have 28 years in machine shop work and always have a 6" rule, calculator, sharpie and red and black pens in my pocket. I scored my bananna at lunch today to start the peel with it. I have no use for work shirts without pockets. haha
Hahahaha! 6" rules er....RULE!
I use a pocket tee, always have my rule, and sharpie in there. When I lean over to grab something they fall out, I do that about 5 times a day lol
Gotta have your pocket scale available at all times!
@@legacyautofocus me too! I call that "loosing my brains"!
Love to see you so happy with the start.
Been waiting for this episode. 😍😍😍
Me too.
Loving the Sunny Truck mods. Honestly I would put the cam in when you do the head. The Haltech will make it behave much nicer than if it was on carbs and dizzy with that cam.
I'm thinking now to just wholesale the A15 in.
Saves a lot of buggerising around.
Dave is such a nice guy
A thorough Gentleman.
Didn't get all the way thru the vid yet but wanted to mention two things: If these engines are based on the old Austin A-series motors, a epic mod for those is a 16v cylinder head conversion from a BMW K100 (or something with similar letters & numbers) motorcycle. Been a while so memory is shady on the subject, but it isn't extremely complex to do and kisses the x-flow stuff goodbye. most info on this conversion are on the internet and the kits used to be too. The second thing is, R1 injectors might be worth a look if you run into the upper limits of the r6 bits. Not sure if I'm remembering this 100 correctly but some 600s (or possibly the 1000's) of this era use 8 injectors, the other 4 are in the airbox and squirt down the bellmouths from above at high revs. If yamaha are like kawasaki the injectors in the bodies are probably a straight swap if the years are within around 2-4 of each other regardless of cc of bike.
Loving the progress Mark. Keep up the good work 👍🏽
I'm pretty sure the datsun A series is based on the BMC B series, datsun / nissan borrowed the bmc A series as well which has links to the cg13de from K11 micras. It was a post WW2 generous licensing agreement to help get Japan back on its feet.
If you can get to the backside of the panel you want to sound deaden that should work just as well
It's a single layer panel so easy to get to just a little obvious.
I can get to the bottom half under the tray okay and hide it down there.
top half though....
Dorts
I always find it strange that Australia's sexiest male model decided to become an auto sparky instead. Whatever makes Dave happy, but the massive paycut must have been hard to adjust to.
He is a handsome man no doubt.
Ummm Maaark....... When Davo is setting up the drivability buttons........... Get him to add a Flame tune :-)
Blat, Doort, Crackle whoomph POP ... You know you wanna shoot flames lol
Any advice on my sunny truck? My hand break keeps dropping on its own and it's annoying 😭. Thanks in advance ❤
Most probably a busted spring in the handle.
Maybe add a electric water pump
