I just replaced mine today. As it shows you can get the broken latch out but you will never get the cables into the new latch without taking the back of the seat apart. NEVER. That is why the latch comes with both cables. I tried exactly this 2 years ago. Finally found a new used latch on ebay for $40 and took the old cables out, attached the new ones at the ends and it's finally fixed.
@@savannahbunn5688 You don't need to. Just put your new handle nearly in place, but reach under it with some needle nose pliers and put those cables back up into the holes from the bottom; and then put the screws back on.
Why didn't you finish the repair??

I have this exact problem. So where did you get the new cables? I really don’t wanna pay someone to do this. Lemme know!
They go back in just as easy as they came out. You gotta learn how to use your tools.
@@calholli my real problem is actually taking off the back cover without ruining it…

@@calholli okay. I think I can figure that out. Another question: you said new handle. do I need to get a new Handle?
Thank you Celeb! Needed the info.
Yes, where is the next video showing how to actually make the repair?
Probably because he couldn't do it without taking everything apart
if you pull both latches at the same time the seat will fold flat. As long as one cable is still attached to the access latch (top latch).
Can you explain this a bit more?
Why the video was cut short!
What year is this car?
Anybody know if I can put the seats down permanently?
