helpful video. i need to replace a seat belt buckle in a 2019 pilot. middle seat there are 3 buckles on the 60/40 bench seat. i need to replace the middle one that is on the right side of 60 driver side bench. do i need to take the seat out like you did in this video to do that?

My father is trying to remove the middle seat and the rear back seats of the 2008 Honda pilot. He told me that there are no bolts on the end of each rail. The bolts are in the middle of the rail and the 14mm socket won't fit into the rail to remove the nuts.
Do you have any idea what this issue maybe he's just overlooking the plastic caps on the end of the rail. What do you think?

@@Bill-d1e Hi. Thanks for your comment/question. It's always very difficult to troubleshoot a situation without having hands on. I can tell you, the 2008 and the 2006: should be exactly the same as the video tech tip. It sounds like he is he might be trying to remove the bolts inside the rail, rather than the ones under the plastic cover at the end of the rail. Any way you can forward him my video, so he can watch it himself? - Sponge

Thank you for your response. Yes I told him to watch the video again he was trying to take the bolts out of the rail instead of popping the plastic covers off which is very clear in the video but he is 78 years old so he's not the brightest light bulb right now

How do you put them back besides doing what you did in reverse? Any tips?

Hi. You are correct, putting them back in, is just the reverse of the removal process. Thanks for watching. - Sponge

Leave them out. Then you can haul more thrift store ottomans and such.

Would you say these make good garage seats or no?

    • @spongestechtips-xu1xg

Hey. Thanks for the comment/question. I'd have to say no. The mounting brackets would be too flimsy if not attached to the floor or a base of some kind. In addition, if you did attach them to the garage floor, it would sit only about 6 inches off the floor, so would be too low. Now, if you were to fasten them to an elevated base, like a box of some sort, they could work. Hopefully this answers your question. Thanks so much for watching. What about the airbag warning light? Won't it stay on?

Hi. Thanks for your question. In this particular year make and model, there is no connection to any SRS plugs. So it would have no effect on triggering the airbag warning light in the gauge cluster. Other vehicles may have that, but it is pretty rare for rear seats. Front seats, especially the drivers seat, would almost always have a connection. Hopefully this helps. Thanks for watching.
