  • AutoCAD Electrical drawings can be organized and managed using the Project Manager. Having the ability to define a folder structure for each project makes it easier to manage default settings for new drawings and apply new settings when necessary. Working with a project also enables multiple drawings to share information by linking components so that the software understands the relationship of each representation within the entire set of drawings.
Part 1 of this two-part webinar series highlights the process for working with an Electrical Project and includes:
►An Overview and Explanation of Projects and the Project Manager.
►Creating new Projects and Copying project settings and drawings.
►An overview of tools available for project management.
►An overview of the WD.ENV file and a few important settings.
    ►Project support files and setup.
    ►Surfing components within the project.
►Publishing a Project to an Interactive, Surfable PDF.

Is the "Project Manager" renamed "Sheet Set Manager" now? I have AutoCAD LT 2022, not AutoCAD Electrical... this is just the best video that I've found.

Hey, do you know any good end-to-end training material which I could use to learn AutoCAD Electrical "properly"? I want to incorporate a seamless process for documenting wiring diagrams in my workplace.

Let please show me how I can adjust the wiring style. When i chose loop and dot.
The loop wire is too big, the dot is a symbol which has 3,4 circle.

This has nothing to do with the video.
But, the only way to change the loop size is to change the Feature Scale Multiplier in the Project Properties and Apply the change to the Drawing Properties. However, that will change the size of components, wire numbers and everything else in the drawing as well.

Its a very in depth valuable presentation - except I couldn't figure out how to point the startup to the networked location of the WD.ENV file? Im assuming its the options but then there are many locations both in Documents and Program Files folder - so which one do I modify?

You need to put the file path for the wd.env file in the AutoCAD Support File Search Path in the AutoCAD Options. You also need to move that path to the top of the list.
The majority of the time this is all that is necessary, but I have had a few clients that for some reason still had to either delete or rename the wd.env file on the local machines in order for Electrical to use the one on the network. Not sure why and it has been rare, but if placing it in the Support Path still does not work, getting rif of it on the local machine would fix that issue.

@@Hagerman Thank you. It turns out my mistake was that I had an extra space before the " in the wd.env customization.
