    FISHING POLE!!
that's a great creek mouth to fish. rainbows and cutthroats and whitefish. all edible. I've never been skunked there.
I've camped there on about a half dozen occasions. mostly on my way to Brown/Boulder Passes area or my way back. it's a great day trip too, in a canoe. a couple hours each way and a few hours fishing.....

Are there areas at Bowman to truck camp with an overland type setup? Or disperse camp by the road?

@@millertime1068 Bowman has a large campground. Kintla has a decent size campground. And Logging Lake Ranger campground is also open up the North Fork.
All have fire pits and outhouses.
Bowman has lots of trail possibilities....

@@millertime1068 it was still a great place to get away when the crowds hit Logan and GTTS road (about 2000 and on). i spent 35+ years exploring Glacier.
      keep it up!
i have so many great memories....but no video. i appreciate it.
(i retired to the Andes 3 yrs ago - Ecuador)
      Thanks
      some hikes.
      from Bowman campground:
-the Quartz loop - 12-13 miles.
-Numa Ridge Lookout - 4+ miles one way. 3500' elevation
-Lower Quartz Lake (my hidden fishing hole for 10 lb. trout at the far end creek inlet) is over the ridge from Bowman and about 3.5 miles one way. gains about 1700'.
      -Brown Pass - 12 miles
-Bowman Lake backcountry campground - about a 6 mile shoreline hike.

wow this is some great footage! I'd love to go to this trail in the summer. Did you try reserving a campsite online or just crossed your fingers on the way there? what would you do if there were no open spots?

When I approached the rangers for a camping permit in September they were very helpful. They told me I had options. I typically do walk in and hope for the best but in the summer you probably want to get reservations. Glacier is very popular so plan ahead and not a bad idea to have a few backup plans just in case. If I were unable to secure a campsite I would stay as close as possible to the park looking to nearby national forests
