And it was the largest terrestrial predator ever to walked the earth, t.rex were also more advanced in intelligence than what you might expect for a dinosaur, ranking as one of the most intelligent. The t.rex IQ ranged from a little higher than crocodiles which can form bonds with humans to as smart as primates, able to use tools though it is not very percise since brain to body size ratio is not very accurate for measuring intelligence (Example seen in whales, we have smaller brains than whales but we’re still smarter than them.) . But the one, or two, or three? Or alot more that makes it superior to other theropods is its bite force, its vision, its sense of smell, and its sense of hearing, they were all good, with vision that exceeds those of hawks and eagles and hearing that can hear low frequencies sounds.
Fun fact! : a tyrannosaurus can’t hear you scream, and you could barely hear a t.rex making a sound, you would feel it.

@@MAX_Wilde_420 Yeah, i think it’s because of some sort of primal fear that stems from when we were in danger of being hunted by predators such as big cats. I only find the image eerie because of the way the rex is staring while its head faces the camera. If it had its head angled in way so that we would see its side profile, i wouldn’t be nearly as freaked out by it. It’s also like that with other creatures (even people), i get the shivers if the head is facing towards the camera while the eyes are absurdly wide, but at the same time is expressionless. To me, it’s the sensation that something looks almost completely normal, but something just seems to be off, something that’s nearly unnoticable. Like in a dream where the mind bends and twists stuff into surreal horrors. While i searched “scary tiger pictures” i found one that had the same effect on me. The tiger had its eyes super wide open. Also when i see images of jaguars catching prey under water…god damn, that’s a freaky kitty

Mammals weren't hunted by Tyrannosaurs. It's not programmed in your genes it's just a creepy noise. Mammals during the cretaceous were tiny, the biggest one was about as big as a badger and lived in China, which is nowhere near where T-Rex lived. Yutyrannus was a Chinese tyrannosaur and was still much too large to hunt such small animals. Have you ever seen a lion hunt a mouse? They hunt prey that is going to be able to feed them.
Most mammals were about rat size and lived in trees and underground, and came out at night.
Mammals were hunted by Microraptoria and Dromeosaurids and similar small theropods. Even a juvenile Tyrannosaurus Rex wouldn't hunt something the size of a rat. Mammals of the cretaceous were more likely to eat a hatchling t-rex than the other way around.

These recreations remind me of the way Michael Crichton described the dinosaur sounds in his book: screams and moans from "another world." He had a way of describing things so that you could hear them or feel them or smell them or whatever it may be. Jurassic Park and the Lost World are what led to my love of REAL dinosaurs. They truly were animals unlike anything we see today.

    • @plague6174

Eh it's been proven actually that a well-average in shape human can outsprint a real historical t-rex by like a couple mph, as well as most massive dinosaurs except for Allosaurus and Carnotaurus.
T-rex weren't great runners for combat, but prowlers. They relied on sneak attacks to kill their prey, they would only chase for maybe a minute if their initial strike missed. But if something as small as us got a head start with hauling ass away from a t-rex, they won't even bother after like 10 seconds, they'll just turn the other way. We're too small a meal for them to actually commit to chasing for, their size and bulk will hold them back while we can free-run for as long as 5 minutes average. So. Basically just have good cardio.
