    I had an interview for an Hr specialist job, I’m currently in college for Business and Management with a concentration in HR also I’m trying to get SHRM certified. I pray that I get the job so I can gain experience through out my college years,so when I graduate I’ll have experience that can help me go for bigger roles in hr. It’s hard when no one wants to give you a chance with little to no experience.😢

    • @HeyyyHR
      @HeyyyHR  Год назад +2

      I pray you have success with the interview & that it lands you the job offer. Just keep in mind that most times, it’s your resume that’s not standing out. You HAVE to show how you’ve used what you know to get results (aka transformation in your skills)

    Great video girl, I love your videos. I’m about to be promoted to an HR Coordinator soon but I am realizing that I’m starting to be more interested in the tech side of HR and less about the people aspect. I’m interested in transitioning into HRIS, Benefits/Compensation etc. can you do some videos on some of the technical roles in HR? I just got my SHRM-CP and your channel help give me what I needed to pass, so I thank you. How would you suggest someone with about 1 year of experience transition into a HR tech role that pays well?

    Well, there a well known HR pro ( has her own HR consulting/coaching biz) with 20 years of HR experience straight out of college with only her HR degree. It’s RARE, but possible😊. Active on social. Most don’t have their first degree in HR - hers was & her only.

    • @HeyyyHR
      @HeyyyHR  Год назад +1

      Honestly, there are many, but times have changed bc colleges & universities are starting to offer HR degrees. 20 years ago, most (if any) did not offer them. Crazy how time changes things so much! 💜💜

    Does an HR Specialist carry the same tier/tasks as an HR Generalist?

    • @HeyyyHR
      @HeyyyHR  Год назад +2

      No, Specialist only do a fraction of the work as HR Generalists. They’re “specialized” in an area of HR. Generalists do “generalized” HR work. I think I did a video on comparing the two. If I did, I’ll add the link

    • @HeyyyHR
      @HeyyyHR  Год назад +2

    Hi, I have been an HR assistant for 1 yr and 7 months and have been had my hands in all areas because of the exposure I receive at my current job. Is applying for a Specialist a great opportunity to go for after HR Assistant?

    • @HeyyyHR
      @HeyyyHR  11 месяцев назад

      Typically, that’s not only an easy transition but a typical one. I suggest to update your resume, then go for it. If you’d like, I can review your resume. Let me know if you want the link.

My pay is good i negotiated as much as i could but seeing and hearing these great salaries makes me think, Hey i want more money. My next goal is to be a TA Partner or Tech Recruiter but I need help knowing how to get there. I am kinda new, I pivoted to Hr in 2020. Help me girl lol

      You've got this Sis! You're a step above so many others because you have started your HR career. CHEEERS to that! I'm covering HR Recruiting and TA next month since this calendar is already out there. Jump on my email list because that way you can tell me before the month is scheduled on which topics to cover. In the meantime, I have this vlog (link is below) about being in TA....honestly, you get paid much more working in tech TA, so that would be a good goal. I'm here for you! We'll get you there.
