And even during Covid price-gouging and shortages, you can still get it for abut 33 bucks.

The lens is way narrower than the integrated camera on my laptop. Sometimes my integrated camera is a better choice than this one. It's not a matter of being a 'budget device'.
No webcam is ever going to have an acceptable microphone. Any decent external dynamic cardioid mic will absolutely blow away the built-in one in a webcam. Andrew is the undisputed king of reviewing mics that fit that description. Do a search of his channel for solutions at every cost.
How do I get the information on the right side of your screen? What software or download is this. I've tried to download all Logitech software for my C270 but don't have this on my screen???
Just a heads up don't bother trying to take pictures with this. I did a very simple screen shot test by holding up a business card and taking screenshot. The result was you couldn't even read the writing on the business card, No matter what distance the card was from the camera, it was just impossible to read due to being so out of focus and grainy. I then tried various other programs that uses webcam's and got the same exact result. In the end, this is merely ok for face to face calls and streaming, but that is about it.
CookieWill he used the rode procaster in this video because he stopped using the shure for a short while so he can compare the shure and the rode to see which one is better but he is beating up the rode so he can compare the the already beat up shure so this actually the rode procaster

I've been using this camera every day for the last nine months and my biggest and really only complaint is that the field of vision is way too narrow. when you said the field is taller, I think that's generous. I think it's better to say that the height is regular but the width is reduced
I'm selling the webcam you recommanded and buying the C270 instead... the 90 degree angle is just not good if you just want your face while streaming, makes my arms look tiny and it has some kind of fisheye effect that I don't like since the camera is so close to my face... Quality is there but I was not a fan of that wide angle at all.
Your external mic sounds bad too. It's got that 'big time radio DJ' proximity effect and even with that foam windscreen it still puffs with breath noise. Sound quality on video like this is mostly about finding the sweet spot for the direct to reflected ratio. Too close and it sounds weirdly isolated from the surroundings (and you contend with proximity effects). Too far away and the room sound is too dominant. You need a mic location somewhere in between these extremes. btw, thanks for the run through. It was pretty quick and too the point. And you talk about some important aspects of this economy device.
Depends on your exact version of Windows, and even your PC hardware (I don't know about Mac). For example, you can probably find "Logitech Camera Settings" with Google, but I find it works on my Intel-based PCs, not on my son's Ryzen laptop. Probably the Logitech Capture program, from the Logitech site, would work, but I find it unwieldy. Honestly I would just use OBS to tune the settings, then close OBS and go ahead and use whatever other program you want (Zoom, etc). The settings you chose in OBS should "stick" when you use the webcam elsewhere.

Nope, no threaded hole. It has one of those L-shaped, jointed bases, so you'd have to eithr set ti down on something or use gaffers tape to strap it to something.

With that chopping process you are not gaining any extra pixels,as you say. Native 720p 16:9 resolution is in fact the same that native 960 4:3, but already chopped. So you made a useless step making the same but manually. So the easy way: just set the 720p 16:9 in a 720p 16:9 canvas. The result is the same, no?

it not bad cam, i use it for my video vlogs aside from the brightness issue it works. i tried using the later version 920 and it didn't work on my computer.
