That Davros reminder before the episode... You little monster, you!😂
"I hate the fans" 🤣
Well, we love you Deepa. 😘
That cold open is honestly one of the best opening scenes in the entire show. The eerie and dark atmosphere, the simple yet horrific designs of the hand mines, and the whole long-distance conversation between the Doctor and the child, all leading up to the big reveal of the child's identity - Capaldi's ability to show absolute horror without a single word of dialogue is honestly unmatched
Luke and Deepa are probably my favourite reactors to Doctor Who, not only because of their incredible chemistry, but because they ALWAYS manage to make me laugh regardless of what's happening, especially the openings. LOVE THEM.
Completely agree, even if its an episode i think is rubbish Ialways still have a ood time watching and laughing with them.
ood time? haha *good time
Bless, Deepa... Did she really think she was going to get Davros _without_ the Daleks?
This far into the show, I don’t know if I look forward more to the reaction or the laughing frenzy at the beginning of each episode… you guys are 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Aahh one of my favourite series! This aired on my birthday and I spent the whole family meal sat there wishing I was home watching lol
What an amazing birthday episode! I’m sure a family meal has never felt longer 😅
Lukes ability to not react to Deepa's predictions is incredible by this point
I’m so happy you guys are finally diving into my favorite season in all of Who. Can’t wait to see what tragedies Deepa laughs at 🤣
Perfect birthday present, I love you guys and your reactions! The Goofing off and conversations is just as good as the doctor who reaction, and you both have such a lovely vibe. Thanks for another great video!
Ahhh omg 🤍 one of my fave seasons!
Agreed. It's over-hated by some, but I just don't get it.
"You're okay with him killing a child?"
"Well yeah... if it means that all of the Daleks don’t exist."
And Deepa starts the Next Great Time War.
I mean this is the ultimate Deepa logic. “Yeah, screw it. Have the Doctor kill an innocent child. Just make the Daleks and their voices go away.” Queen.
3:29 Deepa is right Missy is going to show up when she least expects it.
honestly season 9 is one of my favourite seasons, especially the latter half, cannot wait for the reactions, been excited to see Deepa's reaction to this season for a while
I like the fact that the snake guy is just riding around on a Segway.
Deepa’s gonna LOOOOVE this one
God I love series 9, can't wait for some of these reactions!
Yay! I think this is my favourite two-parter. Oh, and did you show Deepa the two prequels. "The Doctor's Meditation" is great fun.
Them twos intros are like the funniest intros ive heard 😂😂😂
i just want a compliation of laughing frenzies of u guys
yesssss excited to see my favourite series
❤❤❤. I've been loving watching you both on my annual leave. Love your friendship.
Utilitarianism 101. This is fantastic!
Tell this to Deepa for next time. Be glad the Daleks are early; it means they are (most likely) gone for the rest of the season!
And it says something when the Master is frightened. The Master/Missy is the kind of person to pour gasoline onto someone and then set them on fire just because she can... and she is terrified at the sight of the Daleks. I suppose being in a war with them will, naturally, do that...
Yayyyy another reaction😁😁😁
Ahhh!! I'm so happy to watch y'all again!! I very much do notttt like Danny Pink so I have to skip those episodes when I rewatch and when reactors rewatch, unfortunately. But he's gone so yay!!
Great reaction as always, Deepa’s shock at the hand mines actually made me snort with laughter! This episode has one of my fav Clara moments when she just randomly tells her students that she has kissed Jane Austen! We love canon bisexual/pansexual Clara
Sometimes a Doctor just shows up like tom Baker or matt Smith and immediately hit on the definitive style that their doctor will come to embody. Others, like Sylvester McCoy or (debatably) David Tennant need a season to really hit their stride and discover the definitive character of their doctor. This is who the 12th doctor is from here on out.
Love the Doctor and Davros
i doubt you two are old enough ;) to get the square window gag, it was a reference to an old BBC kids program called play school
Loves Missy but hates Daleks... this should be an interesting couple of reactions! :D
The mushroom as a child.
As soon as you see Davros you expect the Daleks.
To all the Dalek haters out there let me remind you without the success of the Daleks you would have no Doctor Who that's all im going to say.
You also edited out the best bit where Davros reminds The Doctor of all the conversations they had together during The Doctor other incarnations including the famous speech The Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) made in "Genesis of the Daleks".
Yes! my favourite season! Rock star Doctor is the best Doctor!
I didn't like series 8 until rewatching after S9E2. I started to see Capaldi as the same Doctor as the prior three.
I know its chaotic but this has to be in my top 5 epsiodes of all time which is wierd because im not the biggest fan of peter capaldi as the doctor or clara to be fair but im very excites to see deepas reaction to next weeks episode as i like that one even more
I know this two-parter is kinda divisive, but i love it. Is it perfect? Hell no. But sometimes i love episodes for reasons i can't really explain.
Sometimes an episode is greater than the sum of its parts.
@@ismayb754 Perfectly said, thank you. It's the same reason Star Trek: Voyager is my comfort Trek. It may not be the best written. And maybe it never lived up to it's potential as a concept. But there is something about it i can't explain. And i think you just did. :D
@@TomGallagherSuperboyBeyond I'm not a massive Trek fan in regards to being part of "the fan base". I enjoy the show on my own and rarely dip into fan opinion/discussion. So it's always SUCH a surprise to me when I hear that Voyager isn't held in the same regard as other Star Trek series. In my opinion it's excellent. And I totally get what you mean about it being a comfort series. There is something so reassuring and "safe" about it. It also has the best theme tune of them all.
@@ismayb754 Yeah i know it's not perfect, but it has genuine moments of greatness. I think a lot of people just wish there was more serialisation, and that damage to the ship would carry over from episode to episode. They were stranded away from home with no support. But the reset button was hit a lot. Which some feel kinda ruined the tension and the stakes. But it doesn't bother me that much. If i want to watch tense drama from Star Trek i'll just watch DS9. Nice to hear you enjoyed what you've seen of it. It does seem to be getting more respect in recent years.
@@TomGallagherSuperboyBeyond I do agree about episodes ending with the reset button instead of consequences carrying through the series, but I thought that was true of most episodes in all Strek Trek series not just Voyager. I also did notice that damage to the ship never really means anything, it appears to get all fixed offscreen and good as new by the next episode.
I actually don’t like the daleks too. Well I don’t hate them but I prefer the cybermen over them. I just feel like the daleks get overused too much and have been getting weaker ever since series 1-7 from series 8 and this episode there not as overused as it’s giving a lot more interesting ideas and concepts and back story. So the daleks only just got better in 12s era. I know some of you guys might argue about the cybermen also being like that and I understand that but personally I enjoy the concept of the cybermen a lot better and also the cybemen are more creepier as they have breaks.
:)
If you hate Davros do you hate Hitler as well? Would you feel bad killing either child?
Well that is what the episode is going for
