THP is hands down the best hunting channel ever, full of useful information and not just another 30 minute infomercial. You show the real ups and down of the struggle we all call hunting.
I rewatched this hunt today. Great self filmed hunt, but I especially loved Greg’s reaction. Very real, humbled and most importantly - he kept the viewers perspective in mind, imo. So many hunts conclude with acting like a fool on camera, then immediately calling someone to say you smoked him! It takes away from the viewing experience. Show the moment, and I get emotions are involved, respect the animal, and remember you are doing this for the viewer. THP does all of this the best in the industry - keep it up!

Congrats on the deer again. I dont know how many comments yall have time to read, but if this is one of them, I just wanted to thank Mindy again for her reply to my comment on her turkey hunt. My 13yr old daughter was struggling with killing an animal until she read Mindys reply. We went hunting today and we doubled on a couple of big mature does. I am a proud daddy right now and owe a lot of it to Mindy. Her reply was exactly what my daughter needed to hear. Thank you so much

She did great. She just keeps telling me that she wants to hunt as long as the deer is 4yrs old or older. She does not care if its a buck or doe. I cant thank you enough. I have always wanted her to hunt but wouldnt force it on her. I think ( i know ) hearing your story and you also being a female just made her more understand the whole hunting thing. Thank you again. Greg’s solo hunts are always something I look forward to every year. His knowledge and experience are truly amazing!
One of the cool things about hunting is the physiological effect on the hunter when a deer is nearby. If you hunt you know the feeling when your heart is pounding and you’re struggling to keep yourself under control and then afterwards when your body feels heavy and you start shivering. Nothing like it.
Gregory is the man! His filming is superb and is a great shot, angled that arrow right thru the heart couldn't place it any better with a deer quartering to, love hearing the excitement in the heavy breathing that any deer hunter can relate to especially bow hunting!!
One of, if not, the best episodes of the year. It's always neat to see different habitat that whitetails call home and so much open space there is a stark contrast to what a majority of whitetail hunters experience. Greg always provides all of proper context while allowing his superb cinematography to tell the story. Just a spectacular film and well done, Greg!

Greg, you are the Master at self filming. Holy smokes, what a hunt! The shot of the buck with his breath steaming out is amazing. I had a 5x5 step out of the fog once that is forever burned in my memory.
It always amazes me how Greg is able to do this all by himself. He had the peace of mind to fight off the buck fever, get the camera right, and take his time on his shot! Congrats Greg!!

That’s one of the best deer hunting videos I’ve ever watched. Self filmed or otherwise. Greg is in a class of his own with these hunts. That buck was well earned and deserved.

THP is by far my favorite hunting show. You guys are an inspiration to guys like myself that hunt public land. Your proof you don't need to spend thousands on leases to see good bucks, some hard work and determination is enough. I've learned alot just from the way you guys describe how and what your doing and why your doing it.

Discovering your guys' channel last fall has inspired me to hunt my local public land for the first time, and today on the second day of rifle season I bagged my first public land deer. A buck no less with broken antlers chasing a doe! It was awesome.

I've been watching Greg, Dan and Ted since I was 15 on Midwest Whitetail back in 2010. Never had TV growing up but was always able to watch yall for free via the internet. Never used a saddle before, was looking into getting one. Actually that’s how I found this channel. Very informative and love watching all the hunts. it’s changed a lot of things I used to do.
Do not buy hawks. Very unstable and the ropes fray wayyy to easy. Also had a buddy fall out of one because the platform wouldn’t bite to the tree and dumped him out wile climbing
They are awesome. Can set up 20 trees with ladder steps and wear saddle in and pick one of those spots. It takes getting setup lower on the ground to feel and set it up for comfort.

This was the first year I hunted from one and it was awesome, went with a Trophyline because of the military discount and couldn’t be happier…tagged a nice buck as well
I'm just saying to set up all that equipment and to pull off a hunt like that you are the man . It's hard enough for me to get me and my bow to the stand . Hard work pays off my hat is off to you all keep it up I can't stop watching.

I’d really like to start saddle hunting here in Georgia. Seems like a very effective and interesting tactic for bow hunting.

I’m 310 and run a trophy line saddle with a mission platform and have never felt safer in a tree. Can easily set 6-7 hours straight.

I do a lot of ice fishing in SD but never any bow hunting in the great state of SD but it’s fun to watch Greg’s deer and turkey hunts

Nice deer. The more I see people using saddle stands the more I'm realizing they are the best system for short crangly trees that grow around here.
