I think the fight scene in the beginning of this scene looks better than the fight scenes in most action movies today. You can actually tell what's going on.
4 years late but that's actually the point. It's easier to make a montage of fighting clips that make no sense than it is to proper choreograph one. Plus, most people prefer the more flashy and rapid fire camera angles, whether they realize it or not.

And there's no storyline the good guys win the bad guys lose that's it, we already know the outcome and they just say dumb s*** in between the beginning and the end it's hopeless it's worthless. I won't do it, I won't pay to go see any modern action movie. However, the HBO series "Dexter" And Amazon prime series "Reacher" That's solid storytelling and compelling entertainment. Vigilante justice at its best.

Call me dappy, but I think the scene is marred by its ending. The point about the Black Knight is 1) he is defending this bridge for no reason whatever 2) he doesn't acknowledge the severity of his injuries 'tis but a flesh wound..'. Then at the end comes the 'I'll bite your legs off' line which spoils his characterisation. At least that's what I think. Much better to have stopped immediately after 'All right, we'll call it a draw'. Also 'I'm invincible....you're a loony' would have been better cut. but what do I know ? Ni Ni Ni.

The first 40 seconds or so of this clip is some of the greatest cinema ever made. That music, that brutal fighting with those huge swords. Then they follow it up with some of the funniest comedy ever made, Monty Python were genius.
Such a pure epic battle between good and evil! I loved the dramatic effects that were put when the black night was decapcitating! The scene was very dramatic but the fighting was brutal and it gives me an exited feeling once author leaves off from the carnage of the knight!

one of the coolest things about this scene: it's extremely realistic!! o.0 these films with guys in 500 pounds of plate armor moving easily, swinging 100 pound great swords with lightning speed...they're very unrealistic. yet this film portrays two knights (the Black Knight and his first opponent--not Arthur) dueling as they would have in Real Life: slowly, with clunky, encumbered movements, and a total lack of heroic or "snappy" dialogue. love it!
