I don't think there has ever been a funnier movie. This immortal scene is just one of many classic moments in the film. When I first saw it in a cinema shortly after its release, I missed half of the jokes because the whole audience was constantly belly-laughing so loudly, as was I. The Monty Python team was to comedy what The Beatles were to popular music.
This scene has some of the most iconic and well delivered lines of the movie and I am so happy they didn't get rid of it. It was a very funny bit done extremely well.

Some humor becomes stale watching several times, but Monty Python, Benny Hill and, the Pink Panther make me laugh harder each time viewing.
