Sure, but denser wood will absorb less vibration than a lighter wood. That’s physics, not just an opinion.
@@lovely-shrubbery8578 I know but the strings will vibrate differently depending on how dense the object they are connected to on each end is. For example, if you take a hammer and hit a piece of wood, you feel less vibrations than if you were to hit a slab of concrete. The concrete absorbs less energy than the wood. This causes the hammer to vibrate more than it would when you hit the piece of wood. Generally, a guitar made out of mahogany with a hard tail will have more sustain than a guitar with a Floyd rose in a basswood body. This is because the mahogany, being a denser wood, absorbs less vibration resulting in more energy being transferred through the strings. This also allows the strings to have a slightly wider frequency range. In the basswood guitar with a floating trem, the lighter wood as well as the trem springs will absorb more energy meaning less energy in the vibration of the strings. The lighter wood will absorb more frequencies at a faster rate thus creating a different tone due to the strings vibrating differently over the pickups. It’s a similar concept to palm muting. You’re getting the same note but a different tone because your palm is absorbing a lot of the energy in the strings.

lol you should hang out with some gospel organists
Kind of gave be rex orange country vibes, maybe even a little bit of gus dapperton
The first few notes sounds like a guns and roses song
@@johnnyjohnston3210I use to listen to them. But they are very basic. Can’t stand them now
I swear I’ve listened to the lick at 0:42 about a million times cause it’s so nice
CashT me too. So good
X 3
Name of the lick or solo pls.
The name of the song is ram ranch
yer mom no it’s not
This is the perfect guitar for any industrial rock/metal band
"Clean, it sounds sweet..."
"Dirty it's even better." god mode activate
"here is the new gittler guitar"
*shows a bar of metal*
What?!
I cannot believe that this gorgeous instrument was stolen. I hate people.
Strange place to find you partner
@@AnotherPen 😳😳😳😳😳
The thing that stole it I don't consider people, but vermin
This is a five year old video. He got the guitar back a long time ago
@@MrMcPain Jesus Christ, that’s a bit fucked up too...
very cool if the frets could be adjustable for crazy scales
If this were the 1600s you'd be burned at the stake for witchcraft.
but that could be said for almost anything new today
Yeah I'm pretty sure a "normal" electric guitar would get the same results.
StripedPants 1 Im pretty sure that people in the 1600s think the electric guitar is a hard axe.
@@caseysmusic im pretty sure they can't think anymore. Who really knows tho, maybe the past is still happening. .
that would be the same for about any guitar
WHAT. I did not expect it to sound like a regular guitar at all.
It is pretty much a bare bones guitar if you think about it.
xJplasma Yeah it is
because tone wood is like 1% of the tone
+Megadeth6633 I would beg to differ. Basswood and mahogany are going to sound very different.
A guitar is going to sound like a guitar 9 times out of 10
Never having to worry about bar chords again...
Any recommendations with songs that have the same vibe and sound as 0:23 - 0:31 ? That calm vibe was just heavenly
Wow, imagine a fretless version of this guitar, amazing!!!
That would just be strings floating on a stick 😂 with nothing to push them onto, you’d just be muting the strings no matter where you press :(
Katy Leanne that the joke
Katy Leanne
Whooooooosh
Actually, you still could playing with a slide on that version!
@@katyungodly whoooossshhhh
More money for less guitar
More Money for titanium :S
Kenny Phan I wouldn't even pay money for platinum.
In Warframe.
Kenny Phan depending on the grade, but good titanium costs about $35/lb. Seeing as this think only weighs 4 lbs. Your not paying much for the titanium. More of the machining and craftsmenship that goes into it... But at $8500... Yeah right I can have a hand made wood guitar made of exotic and rare materials for 1/2 the price.
Just shows how little i know lol :)
all about dat bling, yo
But can it play Smoke on the Water?
@Kevin Olschesky fucking nice lol
can it play 7 nation army?
Accient Weeb while smoking on the water👀
No it can’t
Na na na, na na na na, na na na, na na!
Haven't seen this guitar since Andy Summers. Surprised one still exists.
I never thought that a TV antenna would sound sound like a guitar.
Lol
Thought that said glitter guitar. Was confused for a minute.
Me, too. Thought my daughters would be interested.
joegt123 i thought it said hitlers guitar
lol, just though about that
Actually, this is the guitar the Germans were working on at the end of WWII. Thank god they didn't master the tech, at that time!!!
SciFiArtMan bwahahahaha! Epic comment man!
Seeing this 5 years after it’s been posted, so heartbreaking to read this awesome guitar was stolen! Hope it’s gotten to its rightful owner by now.
He got it back! :)
@@mfkrmaggot2755getting this video in my feed after 3 years, I was wondering
I did it....😊
I seen something similar in a guitar store around 2008, but the one i seen had a weird bridge with a hydrolic whammy bar system. Best whammy bar i ever played on. No risk of springs getting stretched or damage to the guitar by over descending and it had a felt like bump stop.
