Ronnie is very candid & open about his struggle and addiction to heroine. The Trilogy is about that journey. 'Losing my Mind' talks about 'he's not ready to change'. Then 'Losing my Life' is more him battling the drug addict Ronnie. And finally, 'Drugs' is him finally overcoming, but also some of the fall out. Woven in is a theme of a dream/nightmare Ronnie had that he died in 2033 (you see that in 'Life' on the tombstone & when he woke up from his coma) as well as how all of his past (actual and just rumors) was 'making him a villain' to people around him. In all his videos, the glowing eyes represents people who are currently on drugs, and part of that dream/nightmare and ultimately fear, is that his daughter willow will fall to the disease that is addiction, they way his mom did and he experienced. There are a few artists out there that put so much of their personal life & struggle out there in their music the way Ronnie has. I think it is why it resonates so much with people - we have all experienced some or something like it. The crushing depth, fears, anger, fury, betrayals, redemptions, and forgiveness etc. Through it all, he still is very true to who he is and it really pisses off a lot of people because he is not apologetic at all - which I love. You have to also realize he has a very sarcastic sense of humor ... it can be hard to read when not in person (and even in person). He trolls/roasts people but he also trolls himself & past mistakes (Zombified - the mike stand). I have a similar humor and it gets me into a lot of trouble often. People take me WAY to literal. BHAHA! Anyway - great reaction. Love watching you guys becoming fans of FIR & Ronnie and your views and observations on his music/videos. It has highlighted a few things I hadn't seen before which is why, honestly, watching others go on that journey has become a favorite pastime of mine ... 😀
My favorite song of the Trilogy! Ronnie’s mother was a drug addict and abandoned the family when he was quite young. Check out some older FIR- Alone, and Just Like You. Also, I’m not a Vampire ( original) and I’m not a Vampire- revamped.
The guy doing the heavy metal part was Corey Taylor from Slipknot. The two Ronnie's that battled eachother in the last video were still fighting in this one, with one version of himself killing the other one with a chainsaw
I absolutely❤ur reaction 2 this, especially seeing the looks on ur faces. That is Corey Taylor from the bands Slipknot & Stone Sour, Corey did this 4 free. The part with his "mom"is heartbreaking. Both his parents were addicts, his mother abandoned the family when Ronnie was 8 mths old then his father got clean 2 better raise Ronnie & his brother Anthony. His brother was an addict then got clean, unfortunately he got in2 an accident & passed away in 2013. Ronnie wrote a song 4/about him called 'Brother' & let me tell u it's a tear-jerker. Ronnie was also an addict but of course got clean, he eventually 4gave his mother & got 2 meet her later on but 2 my understanding is that cuz all of the drug use when he met her she was dying. So the part where he's breaking down is his fear that he may have passed his addictive disposition 2 Willow like both him & his brother were both addicts as well.
Yall should do a double feature next with "the drug in me is you" followed by "the drug in me is reimagined". Same song, two different styles but both totally different from what yall heard so far.. enjoy!

This video continues the fight between bad Ronnie (black hair) and good Ronnie (blond hair). In losing my life good beat bad but bad came back from the dead and in this one bad Ronnie took a chainsaw to good Ronnie. All of this is in his head, the constant battle of being a good person or a bad person. Something we all deal with.
