Yes, his mother was an addict and abandoned him and his brother when he was baby. It's funny because all the things you said about childhood trauma/abandonment, he lays it all out in The Westerner and it's almost exactly how you put it. Willow with the eyes at the end is his fear that he's passed on his addictive tendency to her as he believes his mother did to him. I Don't Mind is a great song that discusses that and I think you'd like to dig your teeth into that one as well. I mean, you can't go wrong with any of his songs and all of them really paint the picture of his life and who he is. And yes, you were spot on. The drugs he means are anything that takes over our lives and he mentioned social media specifically as an example.
Ronnies Mom was a drug abuser, like his Dad was too, but his Mom left the family when Ronnie was still a baby. The end of the video is his fear that Willow could get addicted too cause of genetic predisposition.
Dude I never thought about the end like that. That’s actually brilliant, and watching the flashbacks from the other videos as her eyes glow seems to support that this is exactly what is going on
Man your enthusiasm and outlook , unbiased and un judged , i wish i had a therapist like you , you make me feel good my brother , thank you for doing this , much respect from Western Austrailia Mental Health needs people like you , 💚🙌
I laughed way too hard when you said “What could I get offended by?” I couldn’t help thinking, just wait you don’t know what you’re in for. The American Dream is the drug he’s referring to primarily, but even that’s a metaphor for all of us trying to achieve the ideals we set for ourselves and killing ourselves (literally and figuratively) to get there.
Yay! We’ve reached the end of the trilogy!!! Congrats!!! First off: Screamy guy - Corey MF’n Taylor from Slipknot. Ronnie’s mom left when he was 8 mos old. She was an addict. He doesn’t have a relationship with her. His dad raised him and his brother. Dad had addiction problems, brother had addiction problems. Dad is clean. Brother got clean, but died in a car wreck shortly after Ronnie’s daughter was born. So this trilogy is him dealing with his own addiction (Losing My Mind)defiance, doing his own thing. Hitting bottom and going to prison (Losing My Life). Getting clean and changing his life, facing his demons (Drugs) but worrying that he has passed the cycle of drug abuse to his daughter since addictions can be passed on. His mom is alive, but from what I know, he’s only met her once. Ronnie is amazing in what his have overcome and what he has achieved. He is brutally honest about himself, the good, bad and the very ugly. That’s why people love him so much. He is genuine in everything. That and his incredible talent❤️
My take on the trilogy is that he was killing himself with his addiction he was able to stay clean but it never really goes away then his daughter is born and he completely shifts life around and becomes a better person for himself and for his daughter but I think he fears his addiction might have passed to his daughter. Honestly Ronnie is living proof of given a second chance you can make the most of it. He is a real life Phoenix.
It's so AWESOME to see that you completely got his message! Yes, drugs = media, social media, TV, literal drugs, alcohol, relationships, sex, ANYTHING we get lost into to avoid facing our reality. Also, Oooh, please react to his song "I don't mind" -- and the newest one just released, "Voices in my head" this one is about hypochondria and facing past selves. :D
My takeaway from the ending is, that no matter what you do, how hard you fight, it never ends, it is a constant battle. Life, addiction, parenthood, setting a good example. The guy screaming is Corey Taylor, lead singer of Slipknot, Stone Sour, and he tried his luck as a solo artist recently. His life story is also a very good topic for you. He was dismissed, neglected, raped at the age of 10, tried to commit suicide at a young age, and that was only the beginning.
I already got PTSD 😂 She is his reflection. In the sense that he has to model himself, for lack of a better word, so that he doesn’t make the same mistakes as his mom, and he, did when it comes to Willow. 🖤
Someone somewhere pointed out that the bit with Willow at the end was Ronnie’s fear of his daughter going through everything he went through because of genetic predisposition. It makes perfect sense that and kinda blew my mind
the ending mirrored the last video when his daughter was an adult. she said you have been asleep for a very long time. Now she is young again, but is not demonic. All to say he is still asleep and hasn't woken up.
When he says Everybody's on drugs, he is talking that everyone has a vice to escape with...an addiction. Some are good and some aren't...but everyone has one.
I've said it once, I'll say it again. This is my favorite reaction channel. Your energy is contagious. I can't help but smile. Falling in Reverse has been my favorite band since 2011. Also, I would love to see your reaction to some of his solo stuff from his rap mixtape. Just a suggestion! Keep rockin'. Ronnie does watch quite a bit of reactions on his Twitch. Hopefully he notices you!
I’ve been having a rough few days so this made me happy thank you for the timing 🤣 highlight of my week right here. I shall be back in 20 minutes with my thoughts lmao
I love the pure happiness music seems to give you, i'd honestly love to see a reaction to more of their songs, they're all so well composed and with fantastic video's to accompany them. I personally really love the revamped version of im not a vampire
Love your reactions they are real and I love your outlook and open mindedness difference of opinions do not really matter we can all enjoy things in different ways
Thanks to you all all the people who write comments down here I can see this trilogy, Ronnie, FIR from so many new and different angles. It helps me to really understand what this all is about. Not only following my own interpretation but also give other ideas the chance to be thought of. Thank you all out there.
hey Doc I think he is saying that this plight is never ending. I have been sober for over 30 years. I'm 60, I still suffer from the character defects that a self abusive live style imbeds in your soul. Sorry Doc never met a therapist yet that can even admit these defects are real. Love your show though rock on Doc
The guy that randomly pops up is corey taylor. He is the lead singer of slipknot, stone sour, and has his own solo stuff. You should really react to his stuff especially his acoustic version of snuff. You will love it.
You mentioned you wanted to see them in concert, so, I thought I'd comment and mention that they're going to be on tour this year! They're going on the "Rockzilla" Tour with Papa Roach. I hope you get a chance to see them! I'm sure it would be mind blowing! Thanks for covering such an amazing band. This was one of the first songs I heard and I fell in love with FIR.
Wow what a great song and a perfect reaction video to analyze and break it down for us. That was awesome Tom, keep doing what you do because you are touching so many people with your videos!
Also, I REALLY wish the interlude of the music video (where he’s talking to his estranged Mom on her deathbed) was included in the actual song. It’s fantastic. Also also, thanks for bringing awareness to mental health. Here in the US there’s such an issue with emotional illiteracy, a lack of even basic mental health education or understanding, and a lack of support and it’s contributing to an absolute epidemic of trauma, generation after generation. And I can confirm from my own experience that trying to climb out of the life ruining pit that prolonged childhood trauma and toxic stress leads to is brutally difficult.
In case you're wondering that's Corey Taylor who joins in on the song. Ronnie sent him the song and Corey instantly fell in love with it that he was like "I'm on my way to join it", Literally flew across the country, Drove a rental car just to get to the set and be a part of this masterpiece.
Omg I just found this account. And I'm only a few mins into this video but i had to say this. I personally love falling in reverse and was really interested to see what you had to say about their songs. Watching you love the song and rocking out with it made me so happy. It just looked like pure joy and brought a huge smile to my face. I can't wait to watch some more of your reaction videos. You seem like such a genuine person and I feel like you are definitely someone this world needs
I haven't seen it mentioned yet so I will be the one: the guest singer is Cory Taylor the lead singer of both Slipknot and Stonesour. He is an amazing vocalist with amazing writing. If you wanna look at pain check out the song Snuff by Slipknot
He does mean everyone is on drugs, as in a large case this is true. That ranges from those taking illegal drugs right through to those being spoon fed legal drugs from big pharmaceutical corporations. Many of which are just as addictive as the illegal drugs. Heck, you can't go in any house without finding some drugs, even if it is just headache tablets.
Man you are so cool. I love seeing older generation getting down with newer music because i love a lot of the older music. Ronnie especially is a very psycholyrical so his music makes you think and gets you pumped up
I went and saw FIR live back in January. Great show!! Ronnie Radke is beyond talented and is setting the bar for music today. His lyrics and the genre jumping. He is a legend.
I was always a fan of Ronnie. He got me through some really rough times with his music. Then he called me a racist on social media. Turned me off for a while but I can’t help but enjoy his music and the messages in it.
You should do The Drug in Me and The Drug in Me is Reimagined. And I'm Not A Vampire and I'm Not A Vampire Revamped! Seeing the differences from the originals and redone versions of those will blow your mind completely!!!! Ronnie is a genius!!!!
It’s 6am and I’m struggling to get out of bed to go to work . I normally listen to scp explained in the shower so I open RUclips and here this is. What a way to get going this morning. I’m ready now.
On Corey Taylor (the cameo before the chainsaw guy): 1) He posted an acoustic cover of Lunatic Fringe recently that is awesome! 2) Corey Taylor is another artist that flips styles constantly - Slipknot, Stone Sour, solo work, covers - and is also very good at packaging his work while keeping the 🖕attitude like Ronnie. 3) I'm kind of surprised that you aren't familiar with him as an author, however, since his first book, Seven Deafly Sins, is passed hand-to-hand (at least where I'm from) in jails until the copy falls apart. Definitely worth the read. He's young and cocky, but... I'd be interested to know your thoughts.
His mom being and addict and him saying this is my first hello and last goodbye then singing youre having so much fun staring at a loaded gun cuz everyone's on drugs. As in his mom was having so much fun staring down the loaded guns "aka her drug addiction" then he sings if its killing you (his moms drug addiction) then is murdering me as in she is literally killing him with her addiction. Its crazy to think about
Any artist will tell you music is written to be subjective so yes the artist has their own meaning to the lyrics but that doesn't mean you are wrong if you see a different meaning to the lyrics. Being subjective is how we can all connect with a song even though none of us are the same or in the same situations in life, it's why music is so beautiful and therapeutic. Life would be shit if we had music
At 12:18 thats Corey Taylor lead singer from Slipknot. Ronnie and Corey have a great relationship and Corey respects Ronnie a lot that why he was a guest star in the video. :)
Onto the drug in me is you and then reimagined, then I'm not a vampire and then revamped followed with zombified and the newest hit voices in my head. Then you'll be justtt about caught up, they have alot of amazing other songs as well but those are the ones I always see people react to the most.
What you were talking about at about 11 minutes in, I'm one of those people, I found out I was pregnant with my 13 year old son on Mother's Day, and I quit heroin, oxycodone and alcohol. I have been sober for 14 years.
As a sober addict I think Ronnie hits a little different! I relate immensely to everything Ronnie does! We barely make it out with our lives and the path was horrific and unimaginable! I could and have written a book and have become a marathon runner in my fight for my life! Ronnie and many of us have also turned to extreme fitness because we are nothing if not extreme! It’s part of who we are. Ronnie has been on all of my runs with me! His emotions can’t be faked and you can feel it! If you know, you know…
It ends with him fearing that the time he was struggling and away will have the same effect on his daughter with him not being there. The evil side as you say came back. He is an amazing dad and I don’t think he has much to worry about but you see that fear in a couple of the videos. Where he wakes up and she’s twenty something and he freaks out and in this one.
Even in Popular Monster, she may be his anchor, but she sees the fallout from the havoc he wrought when he was in rage mode. She may lead him away from it, but... she sees some of the consequences. He even reaches out to her with a bloody hand. Very poignant.
Ronnie and Falling in reverse just dropped a new song. Voices in my head. Its awesome!! I would really love for you to react to- I'm not a vampire (2011)and I'm not a vampire revamped (2020). Same lyrics done in a completely different way. Mind blowing. Also- The drug in me is you (2011) and The drug in me reimagined (2020) Same as above, Same lyrics done in a completely different way. Also mind blowing. I just love your reactions. You're awesome. Thank you.
It’s so fun to watch you enjoy this song as much as I do haha. It’s such a bop and such a great music video. This song really speaks to me. I think it would be cool if you watched/listened to Falling In Reverse’s The Drug In Me Is You and the Reimagined version of it. The differences between the two and the way that the same words can feel so different depending on where you are and what you’ve experienced. And revisiting a sort of “past self.” The Reimagined Drug In Me Is You music video is so so good. And based on how you’re reacting to this, you’d probably really like how that song culminates.
You should do a reaction to the 2 sets of songs I listed below to see how Ronnie can not just rap but sing too. ‘The drug in me is you’ and then ‘the drug in me is reimagined’ ‘I’m not a vampire’ then ‘I’m not a vampire revamped’
You, good sir. GET IT! Ronnie's messages aren't ever to pit people against each other but rather to unite us with music! There's a lot of greed and pain out there and it's unfortunately true that oftentimes 'the American dream is a killing machine'. It certainly can be.
how long have you dont therapy if i can ask. i love your open mind and reactions to things. ive felt suicidal for yeas and been depressed even longer but love your take on things, love you content please dont stop.

His song brother as well.
"Accept the pain just to feel again"
Such a heavy line.
Keep doing more Falling In Reverse!!! His newest two “Zombified” and “Voices In My Head” are phenomenal!!! You would enjoy them!
He reacted to his new song on his “new Friday live stream”
Not even a huge fan but the song zombified is one I really like lately
Agree!
Today's there is watch the world burn 🫣🔥
Corey Taylors portion always gives me chills, the contrast with their voices is too good imo.
Yessss
The way you smiled when the actual song started was soo pure and joyful!! I'm loving your reactions!!
Thank you!😊👍
Ronnies Mom was a drug abuser, like his Dad was too, but his Mom left the family when Ronnie was still a baby. The end of the video is his fear that Willow could get addicted too cause of genetic predisposition.

The American Dream is the drug he’s referring to primarily, but even that’s a metaphor for all of us trying to achieve the ideals we set for ourselves and killing ourselves (literally and figuratively) to get there.
When he said "I disagree" in the video and reaction therapy hides his cross.
@@SoWavvyy its not hiding bro.

Falling in reverse - brother would be another glimpse into his life
btw the guy that came up and sang before the chainsaw is Corey Taylor, lead vocalist for Slipknot
man i respect you so hard for your willingness and ability to accept others’ views and beliefs
My takeaway from the ending is, that no matter what you do, how hard you fight, it never ends, it is a constant battle. Life, addiction, parenthood, setting a good example.

The fact that you said you don't fix people you help them get past it is the smartest thing I ever heard when it comes to mental health help. Thanks.
I already got PTSD 😂

Amen! I like that!!😊👍
FALLING IN REVERSE - VOICES IN MY HEAD
NEW SONG. You will find so much to talk about in it and love it!
I've said it once, I'll say it again. This is my favorite reaction channel. Your energy is contagious. I can't help but smile. Falling in Reverse has been my favorite band since 2011.

I second this! Who Can Stop Us by Ronnie with B.Flay and Deuce is one of my favorites.
They are so good in concert. I saw them in February in Hollywood. Such a good show. Seeing them again in August in Vegas!
I’ve been having a rough few days so this made me happy thank you for the timing 🤣 highlight of my week right here. I shall be back in 20 minutes with my thoughts lmao
The psychoterapist that vibes to this has all my respect
You should do Falling In Reverse’s “The Drug In Me Is You” original version first and then the “reimagined” version!
I love the pure happiness music seems to give you, i'd honestly love to see a reaction to more of their songs, they're all so well composed and with fantastic video's to accompany them. I personally really love the revamped version of im not a vampire

He’s referring to drugs as the corporate media and the system. It’s why he calls the American dream a killing machine.

Even in Popular Monster, she may be his anchor, but she sees the fallout from the havoc he wrought when he was in rage mode. She may lead him away from it, but... she sees some of the consequences. He even reaches out to her with a bloody hand. Very poignant.
I’m so happy you reacted to the trilogy. Thank youuu!!!
I feel like no-one talks about how many of us are on medication for mental health issues, people taking illicit drugs aren't the only ones on drugs
You got it - social media, religion, politics, - whatever gets you "high" or "happy" - acting like a drug. More FIR, please?
Your enthusiasm is infectious! LOVE IT!! 💙
The ending always breaks me into my feelings. This guy is amazing
I just love your enthusiasm for the music. Makes me smile. Thank you! 🔥❤️🤘
Thanks for this Doc, we love these great reactions !
Ronnie and Falling in reverse just dropped a new song. Voices in my head. Its awesome!!
I would really love for you to react to-
I'm not a vampire (2011)and I'm not a vampire revamped (2020). Same lyrics done in a completely different way. Mind blowing.
Also-
The drug in me is you (2011) and The drug in me reimagined (2020)
Same as above, Same lyrics done in a completely different way. Also mind blowing.
I just love your reactions. You're awesome. Thank you.
THEY ARE COMING TO CONCERT IN AUGUST ALL MONTH AROUND AMERICA.
‘The drug in me is you’ and then ‘the drug in me is reimagined’
‘I’m not a vampire’ then ‘I’m not a vampire revamped’
Idk if you’ve seen it yet but check out “Zombified” and his new hit “Voices in my Head”
You, good sir. GET IT! Ronnie's messages aren't ever to pit people against each other but rather to unite us with music! There's a lot of greed and pain out there and it's unfortunately true that oftentimes 'the American dream is a killing machine'. It certainly can be.
Got to love those cliff hangers Ronnie gives us

Imagine going 200mph threw traffic on my motorcycle blaring this in my helmet. It’s an out of body experience. Staring down a loaded gun
