Citizen Soldier seems to know what is going on in my head. Almost every song says what I cannot say out loud and how I have felt about myself all my life. You should listen to all their songs.
Jake is a phenomenal lyricist and vocalist. I absolutely love this band, they haven't released a single "bad song". Literally everything they do is freaking incredible and I really hope you keep going through their discography because every song they release needs to be heard.
*Side note: I actually have a public Citizen Soldier playlist on my channel if Tom or anyone wants to easily go through their songs.
Let's go!!! Citizen Soldier is an amazing band and their message is just incredible. They've helped many people including me.

I have been cut free now for about a year. I have Citizen Soldier to thank, and Jake himself, he actually talked to me last time I had lost the battle to not cut. He reminded me we all make mistakes, it's that we learn from it and that I shouldn't be hard on myself. He has Been a Savor in my life mostly the past two years, losing my mom was what caused me to cut again. I am both thankful and blessed Citizen Soldier is around. God bless and thank you for giving them a chance.
My problem is that people would only cry after I'm dead. I fully believe that. I fully believe that people would come to my funeral and cry if I do something to myself.
But who's crying about my life the way that it is right now?
The answer is no one.
No one is crying right now. They'll only cry when I'm gone and then say at my funeral how much they cared. No one is caring right now.
Ik you’re just a random stranger on the interwebs but I’d care I don’t want anyone to go through what we do. There’s a song by Mass of Man with the a lyric that says “people don’t notice how bad it truly is until they stand around your casket with a basket full of gifts. I’d rather be dead than alive and unhappy people think I’m joking sorry I’m not laughing.” That song helps when I’m thinking no one will care until I die. It resonates with the people who feel that way or it’s just me idk. Keep one foot in front of the other and most of all stay strong 💪🏼 there is light at the end of the tunnel even if it’s just a pin prick. Come to public livestreams for the channel possibly get gifted a free month’s membership which allows you to join a community that will care very much and will lift you up to the best of their abilities.
To whoever is reading this: You’re loved. You matter. You have touched so many people that cares for you. Please keep fighting. I may not know your name or face…but I’m proud of you still being here even when you’ve thought you couldn’t… Get something to eat and drink some water, take a breath and try to get some rest. Take any medication you need to do. ~ a friendly stranger on the internet

Was so glad to find Citizen Soldier within your videos. Amazing band with amazing messages. They helped me through a very dark period of my life and brought me back from the brink. Please do more of their work. All of it is right up your alley for this channel. Especially "I'm Not Ok" and "Let me Let go"
I've listened to Citizen Solider for about 4 to 5 years. I have found that I really like their band. All of their songs are amazing. And it made me realize what I want to study and what i want to do with my life.
Their music helped me with my own depression after my cousin took his own life. Even before that when I felt that my parents didnt care about me. But then i gained the courage to ask them if I could go hangout with my friends for the first time ever. In all 14 years of my life had I finally had a hangout with friends outside of school. I gained a lot of hope and it made me feel better. A lot better.
This band has kept me alive. And it's not a easy thing to say.

Citizen Soldier are making not only good music, but are also taking it upon themselves to bring to the light and the forefront, these mental health issues. And believe it or not, just the fact that a band is singing exactly what you're feeling like gives you a sense of belonging a certain comfort of not being alone. Their music has been helping me through this last though times(although I have a therapist and psychiatrist working with me, having citizen soldier "by my side" has helped me more that I thought it would)

Citizen soldier can literally describe the emotions and feelings you cant describe. And it helps to make you feel not to so alone in the fight agianst whatever your fighting.

I’m just gonna leave this here. I feel I’m not worth it. I feel like the world would be a better place without me. I’m not the person everyone sees me as. I put up a front on me being a happy person cause I think if I were honest with my true feelings people won’t take me seriously cause I’ve put on this mask for too long. I live off of “fake it till you make it.” But I’m at that point where faking is becoming too much and too hard to do. I feel like I don’t even know who I am anymore. Cause I’ve tried so hard to hide who I am cause it’s not what people want me to be. I hide my true feelings behind jokes and laughs but inside I’m crying, I’m broken, I’m dead. How my mind works is I can’t talk to people about it cause I don’t want them to see me as vulnerable or weak cause that’s not who I’m supposed to be. I hate who I am. It’s to the point where I don’t see myself in a relationship cause I feel like nobody deserves all this baggage. I think about this a lot and I can’t talk to anyone about it cause that’s not who I am to them. Like I’m completely ready to die alone not have any kids or anything . I don’t live a healthy lifestyle at all cause I wanna speed up my life. I would never commit suicide but I feel like I don’t deserve to be alive. I would rather live with health problems and shorten my life cause if I die do to my dietary issues people would think oh he lived as he wanted but that’s not the case I died how I think I deserved to. Sorry for the wall of text but I just needed to vent to people who don’t know who I am.
Here is the honest truth. You are divine and have always been worthy and will always be worthy. I would ask that you try each day when you wake up you look into the mirror and repeat to yourself:
“You are love, you are a divine being, you are radiance, you are love, you are light.
I like myself, I love myself, I am eternal, I am there to help others,
I am not separate from God, we are all one.
I love all living creatures, I love people.
I LOVE MYSELF.”
Do this for 10 minutes. Believe the words, because they are true, they are as true as you are.

I'm so alone in my life. Litterally no friends to talk or hang out with, family gave up on me when I was 5, my mom constantly lies so she don't have to come visit, I ask for help I ask for someone to come over I ask and ask and ask, and the answer is 99.9% of the time it's I don't feel like it. Even my best friend betrayed me. And unfortunately I'm stuck living with so called friend. I'm alone all day and night, every day. No one wants me around or to be around me. If they did I would be included. I didn't even get invited to Thanksgiving or Christmas, I was alone for the holidays. That really hurts. I'm so ready to step off the ledge and be done with this pain I suffer daily. My doctor can't even help me. I hate myself. I must be a horrible person. I do so much for others and they're happy, but noone seems to care I never am happy. I can't just leave, I have no car, no job, nowhere to even go.diabetic on insulin. Mentally fuxkdd. I have been replaced. And it shows. Fuck.
During listen to this .. i felt like to remember something in my past bcs of ``Take back your life`` .. turned out it was something goofy and and im just laughing out loud... thats changed ny mood today into positive! hahaha

I started to self harm when I was 6 years old, started cutting when I was 9 years old, my first suicide attempt I was 10 years old, I battled anorexia when I was in my late teens and early 20's, I've been diagnosed with major depression, PTSD and a dissociative disorder. I lost my aunt to suicide on my birthday in 2014 and one of the feelings for me.... Jealousy
My baby, I hope everything works out. Sometimes I wish I could be there for everyone, because I know I would never judge you. I wish I could be there for you. Just know there are people who love, care and just enjoy your company. There are people there who care.

Nope not even a proffesional care, its their job, they get paid it doesnt necessarily means that they care. We are born alone, we die alone, and we path alone, only sometimes there are parts of the path that someone might walk with us. Noone cares. Sometimes, like in my case, not even ourselves care about our own life.

Please please please do a reaction to "Stronger than my storm" by citizen soldier. They released it the same day I was released from the hospital from a very near suicide attempt and it hit me so SO hard. That song means everything to me.

I've been in hell. Grab my hand, I know the path out.
I love Citizen Soldier, but hearing that I'd be missed? That I would ruin lives if I were gone? That makes me feel even more depressed and panicked. I'm in so much pain, both physically and mentally. I have a progressive, terminal neuromuscular disease. It hurts more and more every day, and I have so much C-PTSD from years of medical abuse. I just wanna go now instead of having to wait for the disease to take me instead, but then everyone says how selfish that would be and I know lives that have been destroyed because of friends or family who have decided to end it, and it makes me feel even worse. I've already been in therapy for years, and it doesn't help.

And what if you actually are a burden? What if your very existence has caused nothing but anguish, made the world worse? What if you are so grey that nobody notices when you enter a room and speak over you every time you open your mouth? I keep hearing all this advice and none of it seems applicable to me.
