Stillman and Birn make small watercolor journals with bright white or ivory paper. I have an Altoids tin like yours and even a smaller one. I use the inside lid for the mixing space and it works great. I cut a piece of a white plastic yogurt lid and taped it, with double stick tape, on the inside of the lid and it works great. You can also paint the inside of the lid with white paint to use it for a mixing area. Thanks for sharing your supplies with us. 🙂
That’s a great compact travel art kit! I love my kneaded eraser too. I keep it in a tiny Altoids tin, so it doesn’t pick up lint, etc. If I take a regular pencil with me, I also use a tiny Altoids tin to keep my metal KUM sharpener in. It holds the shavings until I’m at a place where can throw them away… and keeps my tiny sharpener from getting lost. Lol
@ImaMes888 Thank you , I love it! Using the Altoids tins for your erasers and the pencil shavings is a great idea thank you for sharing that with me! I still have a bunch, I will add it.
Nice little kit you have as your everyday carry. I also use the white uniball pen but just spotted on a Mind of Watercolor video yesterday that it's not waterproof where the gelly roll is. I've never tried a gelly roll so I might be switching mine the other way from you lol.
@Zen Life Thank you I didn't know that. I mostly use the white pen after I'm finished painting, but just in case I will probably keep both pens. I just really like the flow of the Uniball in comparison to the Gelly Roll.
I am switching to clamshell pouch, too. It is easier to see and get to. I got the stainless oil receptacle from Amazon but found it too heavy. I still use the plastic collapsible cups.
@LilianeJonson so I've been looking online everywhere for this bag, when I originally posted the link I had for it they were available. It looks like they are currently unavailable, I'm not sure when they will get more in. I originally bought this a year ago at Walmart. I will keep looking for it or something similar and get back to you. I'm so sorry about that. 😢

I cant believe a company hasnt made a Premium Water Brush. With natural hair or premium synthetics and a better water delivery system. I mean you can buy a fountain ink brush pen with natural animal hair.......
@koskey06 I agree I'm surprised by it as well, these ones work okay, but I wish there was something better out there. I do have some travel brushes, but then I have to bring water in a separate container. I like the ease of having the water in the brush, but it definitely needs improvement. Its frustrating when too much water come out. We will have to keep looking.

Have you thought about getting the micro painter new inserts where you can carry up to 16 colors now? They sell a bundle with different inserts
@Jessica Amigon What!!! No way, that's awesome. I will definitely be looking into this! Thank you so much! 😆
CORRECTION: I said that Ultramarine blue was cool, it is in fact WARM with red under tone. Thank you to my amazing professor who taught me that.

@ale vel you're welcome 😊
What is your favorite 3x5 watercolor sketchbook?
I just got an A6 etcher sketchbook and I’m excited to use it! 😊
@@PayneWaterStudio Awesome!! I love getting new sketchbooks! Have fun creating.
What brush do you take around with your portable painter micro? I have a few ideas of what I would use, but I'm curious about what you use.
I use the water brush and a travel watercolor brush, both have lids that protect them.
