Lyrics:
Not stopping
You follow through
You know it's wrong
What will you do?
No time to look out
No time for you
It can't be the
Things that you do
Not having it
I'm not through
You know you fucked up
Now what can you do?
It's not the money
I gotta clue
I can't stand
Most things about you
Not having it
Understand
Understand me - Видеоклипы
Bones mend. Girls dig scars. Pain is temporary. Glory is forever.
We’re all in our mid 40’s - early 50’s, kings. Enjoy life. Miss skating, don’t miss some of these spills.
I'm 32 and I just got back into skating and I just learned this song too
I just turned 50 and done most of what is in the video.
Lies!
@@guitarguy5
Or the fights at the skate park.
You have to remember when this video came out it was about the most hardcore thing you could see on cable. WAY before Jackass, the internet, or, well, cable today.
It's still fucking hardcore.
This song and video still kick more ass than an episode of jackass.
That's not true. You could kinda see squiggly breast-like things if you watched the scrambled Playboy channel long enough on a good day.
we used to have a rad public access skate show in Detroit in the early-mid 90s that played like all the old school skate tapes and crazy shit. It was rad as fuck even though i didnt really skate outside of just using a board as actual transportation and barely being able to kickflip lol... i just loved the music.
'member when Tony Hawk Pro Skater was all that anyone talked about? Back when Bam Margera wasn't fat Gino hadn't died steve-o was fresh on the scene and kathy Griffith was only semi annoying 🙄 😑. Man the 90's were lit!
if you were a skater in the 90's, this was the video EVERYONE was talking about.... I even remember a buddy of mine managing to record it off headbanger's ball one night and we'd watch it over and over and over again - secretly wishing one of our many biffs were featured in the video. lol
I was that dude in my school bud and you are so fuckin right on. When this hit MTV it was like it was meant for us ..
me personally, I was at the most "skate park adjacent" but you recognize when music's played from the fucking heart!
Kudos for Jane Doe bro
I wasn't a skater but I remember this video being played all the time on 120 Minutes and Alternative Nation. It was a "Had to be there" type of memory for a lot of us.
Yep. This was true skate punk, then Blink-182 came along. What a disgusting state of affairs.
I remember watching this on MTV back in the day.
Hell yeah way back in the day about 1995 I was like 15 years old!! 😂😂😂
Best memories
Same here. I can attribute this song to opening me up to an entire genre of music I never knew I'd like.
@@deanplayer69metalplayer89 Same Here, 1995 I was 15 as well, came home from school turned the tv on and this video was the first thing that came on!🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
As do I.
That's why my 10 year old daughter rocks out to this!
This just might be the best music video ever made.
I'm a death metal fan... mostly, but I've always loved this bands drumming. Vinny Signorelli is a beast.
$169 to make the video... about $10,000 in medical bills.
Actual Video probably didnt cost much and the injuries paid by someone else. The skate videos are taken from street vids for late 80-early 90s so they only paid for the rights to use the footage.
Way more than that im
Sure
Meaning the medical costs lol
RIP Charlie Ondras, the greatest pure destruction bands of all time, and Ondras, one of the greatest drummers. Wish he made it to see this on MTV.
I remember seeing this when it first showed on MTV... when they still showed music.
SuperNifty&UniqueNickname
Man, I feel old now, LOL
same here
Dear fucking hell, me too. Those were good days.
Good old times :)
Headbanger's Ball
I’m from NYC and I’m pretty sure I saw Unsane at CBGBs by accident as a teenager. Always thought their album covers and their sound was the heaviest out there. Still do!
Some of the most challenging music to reach MTV, along with Aphex Twin and Shudder to Think. A lot of the videos they watched back on Beavis and Butthead are abandoned indie rock gems too.
Saw Unsane once in college. They were pretty loaded. After the show I said "The vocals were way down." and one of the guys said "Ehhh, you weren't missing anything."
Shudder To Think was a great band
I think B&B was the first time I heard Hum and a lot of other indie bands.
@@georgeasimakos1744 lol, and they only played the first few seconds of that Hum song.. I will never forget that moment, I think of it every time I listen to Hum.
Alternative Rock
"that's broken....ooh that's broken....ooh, ouch yep that's definitely broken"
I miss the 90s
you miss john tesh?
This whole album is worth a listen or ten. Especially the first five or six tracks. It hits like a freight train. I picked it up not knowing who they were because the album cover intrigued me and it quickly became a favorite.
it never gets old.
Saw Unsane open for Cows a couple of years before this video/album came out. The Cunning Stunts were great, but Unsane were unbelievably great. Total Destruction Tour for them.
total destruction tour... that sounds awesome. wish i had been there. all songs on that album were great. i only saw the unsane once in my lifetime in 2012 in tx. thought it was a good show, but when i saw the old 90's shows on youtube, i thought those were better. it would have been nice to see them live in the 90's.
The Cows are so cool. AmpRep was the dopest label maybe ever.
This is the only band I've ever heard use feedback in a riff. Mind blown.
Heard any eyehategod dude?
I saw Today is the Day open for Unsane years ago in Chicago, and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Both bands kick major ass.
Fucking awesome
Daaaamn, a RUclips worthy music video from before RUclips even existed. This is why the underground rocks.
I saw this video on Beavis and Butthead when I was a kid. Since then, the name stuck with me.
Do you remember if Beavis And Butthead liked it or not? If they didn't do you remember why they didn't?
The guitar sound on this song is amazing
Listen to the album. They were at their peak during this period.
And the bass guitar, it's really loud, over driven and metallic sounding. Bands in the 90s knew how to make bass guitar drive a song. Like Helmet.
Finally a video of my youth.
These guy's were that post hardcore bands that were metal but didn't look like metalheads.
Pain is temporary, chicks dig scars, but glory last forever.
Men, how i miss mtv in the 90s at 2am!!!
I remember seeing this video quite often on MTV back in '95, the year I graduated from high school. Early to mid 90's were definitely good times.
This music video only cost $200. It's the best I've ever seen.
Shit is timeless. Unsane are badass road dogs still plowing on. This my jam. Bananas. Kill.
This song was the closest that noise rock got to being popularized. GD, I love it.
The freaky thing is that Beartooth's "I Have A Problem" sounds exactly like this song, even though they both came out twenty years apart.
@@NexusKin Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah man, as much as i love i have a problem, there is a big difference. Caleb put together everything with computer samples. Unsane were recording with analog production choices with minimum overdubs. The vocals are also waaaaay more distorted.
These dudes slay. I watched this video over and over as a kid.
revious same. \m/
I still watch this over and over as an adult.
This is the real side of skating.
The guitar tone is massive. It sounds like the guitar is not down tuned, but more louder and noiser, which makes lot of space for the bass. I love those small feedbacks inside the guitars.
The two greatest things on the world put together fail skaters & 90's punk.
I fell down fast
Learned to face that pain is hollow
But life can't last
Learned to guard against tomorrow
Scrape
I Scrape
Scrape
I Scrape
You went down last
Took the things you stole or borrowed
Time to come down fast
Time to realize it's tomorrow
i thought i would never see the actual lyrics to this song
Weirdly uplifting
Thanks mate
Sorry but you’re wrong. It’s “Grape. Ass-grape. Grape. Ass-grape”.
It’s about haemorrhoids.
I'm just learning these now?
Right after this video dropped they played a little punk club in Knoxville called the Mercury Theater. They had a 150 person max but hundreds of people showed up, and the crowd was mixed between punks/metal heads and lots of frat boys from UT who saw the video on MTV. The whole place erupted in one huge fight and the cops showed up in full on riot gear. That was the best $5 I ever spent 😂
I like how in one scene as the kid is wiping out, there is a big banner in the background that says "failure". Nice!!
Scream ice cream! PIE!!!!
I remember being shocked that MTV had this in rotation back then. This was by far the heaviest video in regular rotation.
This has got to be THE SAFEST video from Relapse Records
One of the very BEST videos EVER made.
Definitely Top 10 of all time
Felling nostalgic. Born 81.
Back in the 90s I related to this video a lot.... because i ate pavement and rails a lot.
If you weren't healing up from at least 3 different injuries, you were doing it wrong.
Michael McKeen 🤟
Rails looks like a great way to destroy your balls
You make me do stuff for your own good
I feel ya. My ankles hurt just watching this. 😂
I remember when this used to come on MTV back in the day. I thought it was so cool. The good ole days when MTV actually showed cool shit.
The ad that played before the video cost more than "Scrape."
I remember that tattoo on the bassists arm of that UZI or whatever machine gun! I thought it was the most hardcore thing I'd ever seen and probably still is to this day! Much props to this band, this song, and even MTV for playin' this when it came out! ...paved the way for Jackass and that whole culture.
Street sweeper shotgun....banned since the 90s....I saw Unsane open up for Slayer( undisputed attitude tour) in SaTx 96....the Slayer fans were impatient and unkind.
Yeah I remind that tattoo as well it was very cool in my pre-20yo eyes! Seen em supporting Neurosis back in the old century
I tattooed some pretty looking fish on Pete’s arm
the first fail compilation
found an unsane disc at a local flea market today for 1.00
nice score!
AmRep was so good back in the day. Still got all the Helmet 7" EP's even.
I remember watching this video on MTV back in the day and through all these years, I've never forgotten the guy at the 2:52 mark.
Just fell off my bike, flew right over it, at 20 mph: deep hole in our good city's brand new bike path. Face is blue, knees are blue, wrist is blue, all is swollen... So naturally this is the first thing I had to watch!
Thank you Jesus
Does anybody else remember when "noisecore" was a thing? These guys were fucking AWESOME live when I saw them in 98.
this isnt noisecore....
i think you meant "noise rock".
Tony Hawk games from the late 90's brought me here.
Man, back when no one was good at skating.
Thank you Unsane.
Didn't catch a single word of the lyrics but entertainment at its finest.
Really? Not even the word 'Scrape'? ..Music is just energy, champ. You either 'feel' it or you don't. Besides you could always just read the inlay on the album itself or search the lyrics online if you're so inclined.
Charlie...... We miss you. Bang those heavenly drums till I see you again.
My favourite skate video.
A masterpiece, no doubt about it..
that was often in 90's in polish tv, great times.
still brutal af !
Best video ever!! I miss those days !! Chad Muska and Jamie Thomas on Toy Machine.... The Welcome to hell era.... THAT was the skateboarding.....
YES
fuck that. XYZ for life.
I remember sophomore year of high school when this video debuted on 120 minutes. Good times for MTV, until TRL with Carson Daly.
I was absolute music-head in the 90s. I remembered the first time seeing this video.. laughed till i cried. Yet spellbound by the noisy ass sick riffs whilst the drummer slamming those skins with tree trunks like Bonham .. christ i miss the 80s and 90s. We had fun!
Great classic tune.
Never saw a video like this ! I love UNSANE but this video is really terrific ! It's just at the end that a skater can go without trouble !...
This never gets old.
still one of the sickest songs + music videos ever
thirty seconds in and this video is making my body tingle with the anticipation of pain... i love it.
i remember seeing this on mtv when i was younger and going out riding bmx to these jams, unsane, eyehategod all the good stuff
Even after all these years, I still love this video.
This video is timeless and so is the song
this reminds me 9th grade man! so many experiences, new music, new knowlegde, discovering life, discovering girls, discovering skateboarding, discovering MUSIC and ART... great song! very powerfull!
i gotta take 2 percocets just to watch this video
👍
Share!
No, you're just addicted
ahh explains why i watch this video 7 times a day
Bonus points for making me lol in rl
This reminds me of Muchloud on Saturday nights.
I loved when they played this video, cause I got to see Skateboarding on TV.
And that last trick with Muska though....
Unsane.
One of the best vids growing up!!
Best video ever.
this whole album kills!
The greatest video of all time!
Classic stuff right here🤙🏼
Wow this is PHENOMENAL!!!!!
YEAH BABY!!!!!
living dangerous, we are alive!
this video really aches!
Just saw them for the first time last night here on Sacramento! Still playing that beater guitar!
This still shredds, all the guy's in the video are over 40 and probably still feeling these scrapes 😂
@SOS Guy I know right?
However, their song "Committed" was in the first release. I wonder how long the people who picked out the soundtrack debated on which song to use.
It took me Back when i was a teenager, how i liked to listen it again. Nice
this song always gets me in a crazy mood. love it. lol
good song, awesome vid! I've always liked Unsane
I remeber the first time i watched this back in the day. Awesome!
Saw Unsane in Edmonton, somewhere around 92ish I think. Bought one of their cassettes. Fantastic band!
Skate&destroy for ever.
Too awesome
This song left a mark
pain is the secret ingredient to greatness it seems.
I remember this. Thee OG SCARRED.
Those guys in the video are in their 40s and 50s now I wonder how they're doing health wise after those epic scrapes?
holy hell, I forgot about this song, I was on Dillinger escape plans youtube and it sent me here.... good play my friends.
There's definitely a Dillinger kind of vibe. Or should I say there was an Unsane vibe with Dillinger.
53 years old and I feel all of this
I’ve just realised that the prototype for this video was Dire Straits Walk of Life. Baseball players fucking up until they get it right.
UNSANE perfected it of course
love the ending
love this video
