Yeah, but the 3-year survival rate for stage 4 colon cancer is extremely low, and the 5-year survival is almost zero. But still hard to believe when you care about someone. 😢

I just watched John video of Dr. Dan near the end. How could this happen to this man? I am a 2-time cancer survivor. Stage 4.

Proud of you dude! I’m heading into my one year scan (I’ve had 2 after treatment scans) so far for stage 3 colon cancer, both were NED. Best thing I ever did was decide at the very beginning to look at cancer logically rather than emotionally…was a game changer. You are inspiring a lot of people by sharing your story & progress etc. and that is priceless!

Joan -- that is INCREDIBLE, OMGGG!!! Those 3 little letter...NED. They mean a lot, don't they. I'm going to get an NED tattoo as soon as I'm there. Way to go beating your challenge, and I agree -- it's hard not to get emotional (and I totally have, btw), but hitting it head-on with a "well, let's do what has to be done" attitude like you're doing, helps me stay focused as well. Thank you for sharing!

Damn cancer. This fit man is now dead. By that same cancer. I just ended an 5.5-month chemo regimen myself and it's no joke. My case was stage 1 but nothing's 100% sure with cancer.

Dr. Dan, Thank you for sharing your story. I enjoy following your progress and appreciate your straight forward positive attitude. I am on a similar journey. Diagnosed in 3/2017 Stage 3 CRC. Same therapy regime with APR and Perm Colostomy. Reoccurrence in 2019 with 3 lymph nodes in left groin and a right lung nodule. Currently receiving FAM-Trastuzumab Deruxtecan-Nxki 100 every 21 days. I am doing very well and responding to treatment. One thing you might look into is a gene mutation call Her2. I have it and that explains the reoccurrence. Might be worth having your medical team rule this out for you as Her2 does not respond well to traditional chemo. I wish you all the best and look forward to hearing of your FULL recovery.

Dr Dan, I am about to have liver resection surgery (though I am fortunate to not have cancer, just a very large benign growth) and was interested to hear what exercises you did during your recovery and how long until you could do intense exercise.

Rip Dan..... 2 years from this video you lost your fight but it was a hell of a fight. I wish you would have gone to better doctors because in my opinion they failed you. You weren't given the best trials the cancers grew back and it was a losing battle.....

I'm also thinking that, the tumors were not growing for a long while, then he changed regimen and all went to hell pretty quickly.
