Watching all these long lines of soldiers makes you realise something. In any other setting this would be a military parade or a show of force, but for the Death Korps, this is an ordinary day. These soldiers aren't veterans, these are brand new troops, just trained and sent off on their first deployment, likely to be their last, expended like ammunition. This isn't a parade, this is a production line.

I was listening the new Krieg audiobook last night and in the prologue there's a conversation between a Krieg Lt and an imperial commander or something like that. After the lt says they have 60k soldiers ready to resume their duty , the imperial officer says something like : oh that's cool ,but how is that possible? What about your other citizens? How many are there. Krieg lt kinda confused replies : as I said, we have 60k soldiers ready for duty. Officer shouts : you are not answering my question! , What is the TOTAL population down there?! Krieg Lt, without flinching an inch : I already answer your question. Our total population is 60k soldiers ready for duty. In Krieg there are none civilian population. I haven't laughed so hard in months , best answer EVER

@@LegioSymphonica No, it's not. A lot of the book picks and chooses stuff from the lore. In the Siege of Vraks, Krieg platoons are put at sixty men while they're put at forty in the book. The author for some godforsaken reason constantly says they have 'spiked helmets'. It introduces a Tech-Priest behind Jurten we had no mention of before, which isn't bad, but he's responsible for most of what happens to Krieg. Hell, it's halfway implied the Lucius No. 98, a lasgun manufactured on Lucius for a long while, was 'made' on Krieg. Steve Lyons did well with his past books but I'm utterly convinced he had someone shadow write for him on it. It reeks of someone reading some wiki articles after being told, 'Hey, they're WWI Germans fighting Orks. Pls write.' If you really adore the Krieg, I'd say read it. Otherwise, it adds nothing to the overall story of 40k and the poor writing and lore makes it missable for the most part. It's a shame. I really enjoyed Dead Men Walking and Left for Dead.

The archmagos is not just "something new" , it literally answers implicitly how the korps mantaine they numbers By using the womb vitae , which is vaguely defined since the korps appeared in the lore and know we have a better understanding of the nature of the korps. About the Lucius patterns , would you tell me please where is implied that it was "invented" in Krieg, since I never got to that conclusion after I finished the book. It's totally fine if you don't like the book, as I said, if you aren't a Krieg fanboy, there are better books . But as I wrote, I don't see the problem you see brother.

It's always interesting to think why there are so many soldiers from the krieg and the answer to that is they are trying to redeem themselfs by sacrificing their people as frontline troops because of a rebelion against the imperium if i remember correctly.

The fact that Krieg can literally print whole armies of 15 year olds and spam them at the enemies of mankind in large crusades at but a whim, and that they completely and so thoroughly fulfill their tithal obligation like clockwork is horrifying in and of itself. If my estimations are correct. Each rectangle is 22 * 52 men which means there's 1,188 men for each rectangle. That is a sizeable battalion. A brigade usually comprises 4-5 of these. At the beginning it shows a lot of rectangles of uneven proportions thought but... what we see here is potentially an army's worth of men (100k-150k) in one singular location.
I counted 1050 men (21 files x 50 ranks ) per unit marching in the main street. Counting the road concrete blocks and the space taken by one unit, each unit takes about 1.5 block and there is about 3 blocks between units, so the road is 1/3 full of unit at any time. There are 3 lanes. Since 8 soldiers pass in 5 seconds, that's about 1.6 ranks of soldiers every second, 21x1.6 = 33.5 so we are witnessing the production of about 30 soldiers every second. That 1800 per minute, 108 000 per hour, 2.5 million each day, almost a billion a year...

I was listening the new Krieg audiobook last night and in the prologue there's a conversation between a Krieg Lt and an imperial commander or something like that.
After the lt says they have 60k soldiers ready to resume their duty , the imperial officer says something like : oh that's cool ,but how is that possible? What about your other citizens? How many are there.
Krieg lt kinda confused replies : as I said, we have 60k soldiers ready for duty.
Officer shouts : you are not answering my question! , What is the TOTAL population down there?!
Krieg Lt, without flinching an inch : I already answer your question. Our total population is 60k soldiers ready for duty. In Krieg there are none civilian population.

@@LegioSymphonica No, it's not. A lot of the book picks and chooses stuff from the lore. In the Siege of Vraks, Krieg platoons are put at sixty men while they're put at forty in the book. The author for some godforsaken reason constantly says they have 'spiked helmets'. It introduces a Tech-Priest behind Jurten we had no mention of before, which isn't bad, but he's responsible for most of what happens to Krieg.
Hell, it's halfway implied the Lucius No. 98, a lasgun manufactured on Lucius for a long while, was 'made' on Krieg. Steve Lyons did well with his past books but I'm utterly convinced he had someone shadow write for him on it. It reeks of someone reading some wiki articles after being told, 'Hey, they're WWI Germans fighting Orks. Pls write.' If you really adore the Krieg, I'd say read it. Otherwise, it adds nothing to the overall story of 40k and the poor writing and lore makes it missable for the most part.
It's a shame. I really enjoyed Dead Men Walking and Left for Dead.

Change in uniform and army unit size over 1000 years is nothing out of the ordinary, so I don't see what's the problem there.
The archmagos is not just "something new" , it literally answers implicitly how the korps mantaine they numbers By using the womb vitae , which is vaguely defined since the korps appeared in the lore and know we have a better understanding of the nature of the korps.
About the Lucius patterns , would you tell me please where is implied that it was "invented" in Krieg, since I never got to that conclusion after I finished the book.
It's totally fine if you don't like the book, as I said, if you aren't a Krieg fanboy, there are better books .

It's always interesting to think why there are so many soldiers from the krieg and the answer to that is they are trying to redeem themselfs by sacrificing their people as frontline troops because of a rebelion against the imperium if i remember correctly.

The fact that Krieg can literally print whole armies of 15 year olds and spam them at the enemies of mankind in large crusades at but a whim, and that they completely and so thoroughly fulfill their tithal obligation like clockwork is horrifying in and of itself. That they are so well armed, uniformed, trained, fanatical, and utterly loyal is a testament to their industrial capacity, loyalty, and religious training.
Krieg means war, and that they so wholly embody what it means to go to war is awe inspiring

@@sword4005 I beg to differ, they are the hand of the god in human form with out the most radical augmentation. They are perfect humans/believers. If the entire imperium was the korps as well as the astarties all would fall.
I want to see how the remains of a kriegsman who tripped and fell while marching would look like. I doubt the thousands behind him would stop, or avoid him. He'd just turn into a...crunchy..carpet.

DK Commissar 2: Millions? What is that? Here we have billions. Take it or leave it. And by leave it, I mean get beat with a shovel.
If my estimations are correct. Each rectangle is 22 * 52 men which means there's 1,188 men for each rectangle. That is a sizeable battalion. A brigade usually comprises 4-5 of these. At the beginning it shows a lot of rectangles of uneven proportions thought but... what we see here is potentially an army's worth of men (100k-150k) in one singular location.

I counted 1050 men (21 files x 50 ranks ) per unit marching in the main street. Counting the road concrete blocks and the space taken by one unit, each unit takes about 1.5 block and there is about 3 blocks between units, so the road is 1/3 full of unit at any time. There are 3 lanes. Since 8 soldiers pass in 5 seconds, that's about 1.6 ranks of soldiers every second, 21x1.6 = 33.5 so we are witnessing the production of about 30 soldiers every second. That 1800 per minute, 108 000 per hour, 2.5 million each day, almost a billion a year...
The emperor calls.
And Krieg will answer!
