Geomancer all the way! I use him in every area of the game. I'm still not clear about his mechanics but when he is on the team it works.
Deacon is the embodiment of a support champ. I drag him everywhere, but he is pulling it off so effortlessly that I can tell I'm diminishing the value or taking it for granted. It's Deacon, you know 😂 whereas some other epics I've pulled later on are just fun to play with in certain areas. I think he only other epic that can measure w/him in my account is Venomage. I got Siphi v early on and have a feeling Plarium is like > Nope, no Godseeker for you.😂
@JovanaIvanovic I agree. Both Deacon and Venomage are great in so much content, it's easy to take them for granted. Then you try to build a team comp without them and you realize just how good they are. Congrats on the Siphi btw - I hope you get your GSA soon!
Colred, your Idea was brillant. watched them all and enjoyed the heck out of it. looking forward for next year and hopefully also other ideas as good as this.

I WISH I had another maneater so I could build one with high acc. The crazy thing about Geo is even slow he STILL brings value to a comp thanks to that passive.
@peterbrown8455 That's true, but like most champs, even Geo is better faster...IF you can get all the stats on him.

Hellhades said "for the first 3 months Deacon is definitely the stronger pick, but for the longevity of an account I think Demytha is better". I totally agree. I have an f2p account which is just about 2 years old and have never pulled a maneater or demytha, or any other champ that would give me an unkillable. I comfortably 3 key UNM clan boss on all affinities, but am tired of pulling crap epics from my void shards.
@Bigdog33R I think Demytha is a very useful champion, not just in CB, but in lots of content. But her versatility doesn't come anywhere near Deacon's IMO. She is a great solution for CB though - maybe the best in the game. That's hard to beat.
The thing with demytha, seeing as I pulled her early, is her healing and block damage early game was very crucial. even though I couldn't make the unkillable team as soon as I got her, she instantly went into my clan boss team and greatly increased my progression.... and I managed without deacon and got the same buff/debuffs he gives from other champs. So personally I would go demytha all the way.
@harleydicken226 Yeah, I think Demytha is more valuable earlier than people normally assume. That being said, she doesn't really max out for a long time. Deacon, on the other hand, is incredibly valuable right away, and you don't need crazy gear to get him there. I think they're both awesome champions, but Deacon has provided me with many times more value on my accounts than Demytha. Your experience has been the opposite. That's why I like having the conversations. Let's spread all that good information to the community! WAY more useful than a simple "top 5 epics" list, for sure.
I use Morag Bronzelock to this day because of that HH performance with her and she is a good part of my UNM CB team.
@Nathan_Coley She's fantastic. I think Ash actually turned HH on to her first, and I remember seeing that Ash video way back when. But then HH used her to awesome effect, and that was the clincher. I've been looking to build her into SOME team somewhere on my roster ever since. I. just. need. more. time!
@@ColredPlaysRSL I started using her and put her in a toxic set because she was the first ally attacker I pulled, worked better than I anticipated so she's still in the team.
Deacon is going to take the crown.. I think there should be a season 2 with different epics like Melga, Giscard, Mordecai, etc.
@bitanyameseret904 I hope Deacon wins! But I think Geo has to be the favorite atm. We'll see about a season 2 at some point in the future, for sure.
I'd like to see rares get an NIT treatment This is the most interesting thing I've seen relating to the game in the year I've been playing I don't have most of the field here or recently got them and am trying to level/gear them etc but I truly enjoyed this tournament
@user-ww1et9um6o I'm glad you're enjoying RAID MADNESS! I've got ideas for more brackets-style tournaments, but we'll have to hold off for awhile. It's VERY time intensive, unfortunately. It's also lots of fun!

Deacon is a friend you need when there's an apocalypse... it's a sin not to build him all the way..

@@ColredPlaysRSL since i joined Raid 2 and half years now, i still dont have deacon, stag knight and Demytha
You mention early game new account value a lot but it isnt stated as the mindset the votes need to be based on. I think more people are voting comparing their accounts to the champ would they give up their x for y. And any one with a Demytha giving them unm at potentially a 1 key wouldnt trade her to have a Deacon. Maybe its cause I am like you with Geo in that I dont have a Deacon (didnt know about new player codes till I couldnt use one).
@KIngaiune Yep. I do think players are choosing to vote for champions based on different criteria. Early on, I stated that people should vote based on whatever criteria they choose. I tend to value versatility and snowball potential over end-game value. I also prefer utility and support champs over nukers in most cases. But other players feel differently, and that's great! If we all agreed, the conversations wouldn't be nearly as interesting.

@joseasisnato Very nice! Stories like this is why I push back when I hear the comment, "Deacon has no place at end game." Of course he does! Doesn't mean you MUST use him, but what he adds to a roster never stops being valuable.

@lfc-1892 Nah...maybe. I dunno. I want to have a more nuanced discussion, and very few people seem to be interested in a real deep dive into Geo. As a result, I'm frustrated because i think there's insight to be gained, but I'm being stonewalled by two groups: 1 - the group who loves Geo and won't hear a bad word about him and 2 - the group who loves trolling me about Geo, so there's no stopping them anyway. I'm not surprised Geo is still here. I think he was the favorite all along. I just hope we get in ONE really good conversation about him before all is said and done.
@ColredPlaysRSL very well put. When i got geo from the guaranteed shard, he propelled my account to heights that i didn't think it was possible by 1 champion.
So, for me, he is no1, but if i didn't get him, i would have used a different strategy and moved on. i got my first seer two months ago, but I still haven't built her, so the best champion we vote on a result of our own experiences. I love decon and grush big improvement to my account. But geo destroyed many legendaries.
And remember, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Block all damage on a 3 or 4 turn cooldown is not hard to figure out

Maybe it's because I don't have Geo yet but I love Deacon. I pulled a demytha and pain keeper early on so I could try the. Budget unlikable but I just couldn't afford Deacon running that slow. He was and is still in all my team's.
@sedrickkamga1263 I'm the same way. The faster Deacon is, the better he performs everywhere. So I've never locked mine into a CB team, and probably never will. I DID finally pull a second copy, though, so I may build the second for CB at some point.
